Topeka Postponed!
Topeka postponed until a date in the fall. Really! Every weekend date is full so I assume Topeka is actually canceled.

When everything is coming your way, your probably in the wrong lane.

It seems that no race is guaranteed these days. This season has been a disaster for the Pro Teams or for that matter anyone who derives a living from actually racing. Wonder what the impact is for the Parts business?

every aspect of normal life is a disaster this year and it will only get worse between now and election day. I've been saying for 28 days now that the NHRA will pull the plug. I also think MLB will be the pull and that the NFL season won't start either. College football definitely won't happen. All I'm hoping for is that my daughter has a real graduation from college next May.

I agree Ed. With the Marlins having so many cases, it's only a matter of time before another team has an outbreak, and another, and MLB will have to call it. NHRA I think may end up having more and more events at Indy, if the TV money is enough to get them through the year.

I feel you on the graduation too. My niece will graduate from med school, hoping she gets a real graduation, and that at least my brother and sister in law get to attend, if not my parents as well.

A bunch of the guys I were having breakfast this morning and were discussing the new "Three person Covid-19 Health and Safety rule" in California. The California Health Department says that no more than three people can touch the same item before it has to be disinfected (washing will probably be OK).

So how would that work in baseball?

Lets see.

The Umpire (#1) throws the ball to the Pitcher (#2) who pitches to the batter who promptly hits a single to center field. The Center Fielder (#3) who then fields the ball throws it to who ?????? no one else can touch the ball.....and what, the bases clear and everybody scores????

Yep, that's do-able.

The game is then suspended so a Federal Contamination Disposal Team arrives to secure the now contaminated ball and remove it from the Stadium.

Sounds reasonable to me.

Bob

Sorry, it's late.

The slow and steady progress of getting people ready for socialism. Put all of the smaller companies out of business so the government can come to the rescue. Pick the big winners and destroy the rest. Get ready people.

I keep hearing that 14 of the Marlins have COVID (or 19, or whatever) but I have not heard if any of them are actually SICK?

And by the way, if the baseball players who all have to obey the protocols and the masks and the isolation and the social distancing, etc, get the virus anyway - WELL - what does that tell us about the effectiveness of the masks and the protocols? It tell me they don't do jack squat.

Follow-up question - I understand that one-half to two-thirds of COVID deaths are suffered by individuals confined to long-term care facilities. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that people confined to long-term care facilities aren't going to bars, bowling alleys, ball games, concerts, graduations, races, restaurants, school classrooms, or any of the other places & events that we've been told are lethally dangerous. I'm also guessing none of them went to Home Depot or the supermarket where they got infected by a person not wearing a mask.

Put in easy to understand terms, nobody knows anyone in good health who has died from Covid 19 beside George. The black guy who got his neck kneeled on.

George was in good health and counted as a Covid death.

I work for a medical device company and repair equipment in hospitals. Talking with an OR administrator the other day about Covid he said someone could die from a gun shot to the head, if he tests positive for Covid then that's what he died from. Its all about money. He also said that hospital ICUs operate at a 80-90% capacity rate on a normal bases, that's how they make money. He said the fake news is blowing that number way out of proportion to make it look bad

$7 trillion dollars in socialism bailouts for the second time in ten years, called for a pandemic distraction. Or do you think they could have gotten away with bailing themselves out another $7 trillion, without any fuss from the people, without a distraction?

I do, but they wouldn't have been able to call the bailouts stimulus LoL!.

It's all gonna end in November, that's some delusional chit right there.
