Watching some of the live feed today. Why are they running TD and TS 1/8 mile?

wow, you guys a just a wealth of information. Nobody here races there?

D1 posted on their FB page prior to the event that those classes would be run 1/8 mile, but there wasn't any information as to the reason.

Maybe short shutdown? Completely guessing.

Mike I noticed that too, only have to assume the shutdown is short but also saw 1000ft et and mph clocks so why not race to the 1000ft?

Not what I would consider a fast field either

Based on the above, we would have qualified 8 or 9

Short shut down. They ran 1/8th last year also. NHRA has min and max et's for 1/8 and 1/4. Not 1,000 ft.

There is couple of the supporters of the class that complained last season and they switched it to please them last year

Also heard, and not sure if it's been posted ,that Div. 1 Bracket Finals at Maple Grove this year will be 1/8 mile, as voted on by the MAJORITY of Div.1 tracks!
Not a lot of happy racers....or so I've heard!
