Looking to upgrade my RV and wanted to get everyone's experiences. I currently have a Tiffin that I love. Its a little older but in great working order. What brands are people happy with? Looking at Tiffin, Newmar, Monaco now. I want to stay with Cummins power but would eventually like to get a stacker. What minimum power is required? Looking for multiple beds.

I am far from an expert but you won't get a new one that compares to your old one. My Monaco is 25 years old with 100k on the clock and 36ft long 450hp Cummins. It cost $287,000 in 1998. No partical board cabinets and lots of add ons you can't even get today. Quality! And no deff fluid. Shines like new but has those ugly square headlights. It tows my 30ft 1ft extra high Pace with a door car with no effort. Best part, its been paid for for a long time

I bought a pristine 30 foot 1995 National RV Seabreeze about 12 years ago. I bought a Dart Big M block and built a 506 ci engine (+.100 bore, .250 stroker), Eagle crankshaft, Crower billet rods, SRP 9.0 pistons, Edelbrock aluminum heads and fuel injection system, a Crower hydraulic roller, Moroso pan, oil pump and pick-up, TRI-Y headers with a FlowMaster exhaust system. It has a 4L-80E O/D transmission and a Dana 70 4.56 rear end gear set.

I tow a 24 foot 8 foot tall trailer with a 1900# roadster that weighs (total) approximately 4200#. With normal towing it averages 9.2 - 9.5 mpg. The rig is California legal length (65 total) and very comfortable for 3 adults. It's certainly not Belagio quality but fine as a race rig and great for a weekend at one of our beach.

This is primarily a race rig and paid in full, no monthly payments, full coverage Insurance is very in-expensive. Unfortunately I live in California so the annual registration and smog inspection expense is #%&@*%$ ridiculous!
