I called my friend Bob in Colorado and also looked online. Basically it’s a s—-t show. Jefferson county changed the rules while waiting on the judge to issue her directive. She finally told both parties to try to work together but I bet they end up in court again.

Their rule now is Bandimere must submit a plan 14 days in advance before a race. I don’t think Bandimere is too happy!

Vern, what you say is correct. The thing with submitting a covid safety plan it has to be for each and every event. Like you say 14 days in advance. The jeffco health dept has the sole approval of each event. Bandimere generally has an event of some type about 5 days each week. This will make it very difficult for Bandimere to continue until this corona is gone and all restrictions are lifted. Our governor and county are on a complete power trip.

Thanks Cash. Its remarkable how some areas welcome tracks for their economic impact and others due everything to strangle them. Case in point, Rockingham enjoys support from the county and encourages them while Farmington, Piedmont, and several others in the area are saddled with curfews and any other deterrent officials can dream up

The Bandimere primary lawyer is a no BS kind of guy and he is fed up with the Health Dept. power trip. He also represents several other restaurants, bars, etc. in similar lawsuits.
Just speculating but I'll bet Bandimere calls their bluff and continues to operate until forced to quit.

Well I guess that closes that episode. No matter which way it went NHRA had already cancelled.

Ironically, Bandimere Race Track was created in 1958 specifically to prevent street racing. Nice job Health Dept.

The REAL NUMBER that means ANYTHING is the number of deaths which has and is significantly going down EVERY WEEK, but hey, we can't talk about that either.
