We called at 12:15 and was told sorry we are sold out. Pretty much sucks... Pretty disappoint me and my buddy planned since we went to last year event and we are on the waiting list. On the fence about the whole pre entry thing...

Yep I tried and couldn't get in either. Good race, should be more of them if they can sell out this quickly.

They have figured out good ol supply and demand. They've limited supply to make the race a better experience for the racer, and that's certainly driving up demand. Good for Peter, Kyle, Emily and all involved.

They should have maybe a 100 spots where there is a lottery system to get in.

OK, What am I missing here? Rules state 2 drivers can't enter same car and one driver can't enter the same car twice but same driver can enter two cars. Looking at the pre-entry list, I'm seeing many double entries i.e. same car number with the second entry differentiated only by an X or additional numeral. Educate me on how those are not double entries.

I am not sure what your asking, double entries have one name/driver, two car numbers for the same driver and two cars.

One of the reasons I run the fling races is because of the structure. If they say a guy can’t drive the same car twice then a guy ain’t driving the same car twice. He’s gonna have to bring 2 cars to the show. If they say door cars run door cars dragsters run dragsters then that is how it’s going down. They enforce the rules advertised.

I know what the rules say, I quoted them, and I know what they mean. I'm referring to one circumstance listed in the rules; that of one driver doubled entered with the same car. I'm just wondering if the rules are being ignored.

I've ran numerous big purse races the past 6 years. The very few times I've doubled entered, my name is on the entry list twice running the same car with the same car number with an X or other numeral beside my base car number on the second entry. And many of the double entries listed in those races did exactly the same thing.

What I have just described is showing up in the racer list on MANY of the entries for this race.

Maybe it doesn't matter much to anyone else but for me, in my "awesome" and humble opinion, the integrity of the rules is under suspicion.

If all those doubled entered names with the same base car number have indeed entered 2 different cars, then my suspicions won't hold up under scrutiny and that's totally alright with me. But I, for one, am interested in following the live feed.

I think the grief you are getting stems from the fact that you are making a assumption that two different cars cant have a similar car number. 123 for car 1 and 123x for car two. If I owned two cars, that is how mine would be numbered... well mine would be 0 and 0X.

IMO, if you have a demand like this for your event and your limiting the number of entries, maybe you could limit every one to one tech card for a day or two , then open it back to doubles if your quota isn't met. That way those who couldn't be in front of the pc right at that moment have an opportunity to experience your event.

this^^^^

this race a big enough demand to people they could do 1 car 1 driver only.

but hey pete and kyle have a good thing going and by far put on the best race apparently and are smarter than me.

ep-glad for those that got in.

This is exactly what I have recommended...open it up for X amount of days for SINGLE entries only...if it doesn’t sell out then open it up for doubles...wish they would try this for BRISTOL...

I have two cars, and they both have the same number on them. That's pretty common.
