DRR Trophy |
While drag racing is still my sport of choice, the one thing I’ve almost never done is spend a lot of time watching NASCAR races. Read more at: https://dragracingactiononline...tle-bit-of-babbling/

I can agree. Nascar is at least trying different things and attempting to gain exposure. NHRA is slow to change, and drag racing as a whole doesn't create a lot of dented fenders and as many reasons for tempers to flare and rivalries to form, at least not anymore. Right now, for example "No Prep" is gaining traction, (pun intended) and while I can't really get into it, it is exposing drag racing to a different crowd, whether we agree with it or not. NHRA has to walk a fine line between keeping teams/participants happy, and try to gain exposure and therefore sponsors. my opinion.

I remember being a NASCAR fan when you could only watch them if you had cable and TNN but you could listen to them on the radio. For some reason NHRA never thought they should be on TV. NASCAR the sanctioning body got with the tracks and negotiated TV contracts and it just kept getting bigger. NHRA seems cluless. Today cable is just about history and where's NHRA? I cut the cable, but I still get NASCAR. I have internet so I can watch big money bracket races. Today it's all about streaming, where's the NHRA?
