They will do more than they are told. When mask are mandatory, as they are right now in New Orleans, you can rest assured there will be hoards willing to report anyone not wearing a mask to the authorities. These are the lemming do-gooders among us, and we have plenty.

You got that right. I've been reading up on how some believe this will go. They're comparing it to how the communists police force in East Germany, the Stasi had everyone spying and ratting each other for a sense of self importance and favors.
It'll be social Darwinism before it's all over.

My wife and I had an opportunity to buy an inventory of fresh food from our favorite local restaurant that was forced to close due to the pandemic. This is a Hispanic Family owned restaurant (Perry's Restaurant in El Cajon, California) where a lot of racers gather for breakfast every morning. They were forced to close, then re-opened only to be forced to close a second time.
After the second opening they had to restock their inventory with fresh food. When they closed again on Tuesday we bought his perishable goods then gave it all away to our neighbors.
45 dozen eggs (540 eggs) 8 gallons of red potato salad 10 gallons of cottage cheese 10 gallons of sour cream 20 gallons of salsa 24 hot dog buns 24 hamburger buns 24 sandwich rolls
Here's the point:
You probably have a local restaurant owner in the same boat, stocked up with fresh food that will not last until they are allowed to re-open. Buy their surplus of food and donate it to those in need. How hard can that be? So you invest a small amount that can go a very long way to feed folks in need. Our inventory lasted less than 8 hours, it cost only a small investment, the restaurant owner recovered some of his investment and several Families received free food.
