442OLDSI thought this was interesting
Yesterday at Dallas, they ran the first round of Top Dragster. Delay boxes, bump up/down buttons and all kinds of gizmos.
The best light of the whole round was a .009.A bunch of redlights and a bunch of not that great lights.
First pair of Stock Eliminator cars......
.006 to .007 reaction times.

I saw Troy Williams go double o 2 on the tree and dead on 1 and lose at Rockingham this weekend. So what’s your point?

Quick glance 442,
9 red R1
Lots of 00 and teens
Third round only 2 red... second round I missed it in DRC
It is interesting like very little rollout or really tight track or great driving...

And there were 6 winning reaction times in R1 of Top Dragster that were better than the 2nd best winner in Stock, which was .019.
Nobody says that you can't hit the tree without a box, especially if you are a former world champion, but it is easier to do it consistently WITH one. For most people.
The numbers in Dallas bear that out.

J69Where were all of these reaction times 20-25 years ago??? Or is this a direct result of technology enhancements???
