I had post earlier asking about those of you that had door cars and Roadsters and how you like dislike either and other info request. It was great to see the info discussed I thank all of you that replied.
Now this is a quality built car 115 inch wheel base Strut front all tig welded round tube. It will have a 650 hp sbc in it with a glide. My questions are. Do you shift on time or rpm only going to bracket race it maybe some index. Tire pressures you like that work Leave RPM etc. I know there is going to be a learing curve here going from 2600 lb door car to 2000lb Roadster It has a 4.10 gear with 33 tall tires . I had 5.13 32 tall in door car. . Im thinking its going to leave lazy but pull good for some mph on top end for some finish line driving

Let us know how it goes. I’ve never owned a roadster but I’ve always wanted one.

Do not worry you will be real comfortable in it in no time. Get out there get some laps in it and seat time and you will quickly feel right at home.

I'm curious what kind of 60' you had with your door car? I don't think it will feel as lazy as you think but I have a 4.88 gear in mine. Sorry I can't answer your questions on leave rpm and delay box numbers. I'm a footfeeder. You are going to love how you can see your front and their front driving the stripe. You will also love that although the sun will be hot on you, you aren't sitting in an oven. LOL Don't forget your arm restraints.

Do you have any pics you can post of it? Would love to see what you came up with.

Curtis

I'd say you'll notice the 60' but everything else will fall into place. It'll be fun. I'd take it to the hot rod reunion type programs, it'll be a top contender there.

Monza, I'm 1.24-1.25 with my little 355 at 1989lbs running 5.80s so I think you can maybe be 1.21 or lower if you are 2000 or less but it may depend on tire choice also. I run 14 x 32 even though I can run 16.5 x 33 if I chose to.

Thanks for the post Curtis. Im trying to learn how to put pics on.
That being said Im going to have a lot to learn about driving in the open.
Getting in it is going to be my first hurdle with my legs being weak. I have been trying to research handi cap drivers in motor sports havent found alot. If I continue to get my calf muscles stronger. I will be OK. Im fine after I get in the seat with brake and gas pedals its just the getting in and out is the difficult part.

Curtis thank you again for your help

No problem.

When you start running it if the air shakes your head just lean back against the seat. LOL
