(Some people have questioned Sunday's call. With the absolutely perfect forecast for Friday and Saturday, we are anticipating another record crowd. Given Sunday's limitation of not being able to fire engines until Noon, and the prospect of rain at 7pm, we'd likely be looking at a Rnd 2 split, which is no fun for anyone. And as we saw last week with a forecast that didn't even include rain until the day of, weather often leads the long range forecast, i.e. last Sunday it called for a shower at 10pm, then moved it up to 9pm.. and it ended up spitting on us around 5:30. We're getting ahead of the game to insure that that we award the Big Checks and Eagle trophies, leaving us with wiggle room on the schedule if necessary.)

Happy Thanksgiving, and look forward to seeing our great Footbraker crowd!

Looking forward to my MMTV guilty pleasure. Smile Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

I went over last night and watched a little of the racing. Good tight runs and some pretty quick cars.

Reconfirmed I am just not a spectator. Watching w/o a car .Is like going to orgy with pants one. Why be there? Hey I wasn't much of second round watcher when running TA/D or Funny car. That meant I lost first round and it was time to go to house and figure out why that happened. If someone would tear something down and need some help I would be fine.

Again it was some good racing and tighter runs than I would have thought.Amazing how good some are off the brake with no electronic crutch.

Thanks!

The Tesla did not have a perfect run. He did have a 4 pack one run. The perfect run was Tom Scriffignano in an S-10. (pictured in a post above)

What I thought was even cooler was Shaun Lingerfelt showing up with the Beretta that he had just traded his dragster for a couple weeks prior (featured in the Doorslammer video). He ran the doorcar race with us, then I saw him in the lanes at the FFF. I was like, "Um... does he know this is a Footbrake race?" I go check the car, and the box is out. He comes walking up and I ask him about it. "Oh, Farmington rained out the race on Thursday, but they had a test and tune. I tried footbraking it and was .022, so I figured I'd try it." He had a .008 package on his first run in Footbraking competition. Pretty awesome! Cool dude.
