Yellow TicketNHRA will have to change the classes at some point. It can't be the same classes for another 40 years. They are losing market share to other types of drag racing (no prep, power tours, etc)
Today's generation isn't going to say "Wow! that 1200 hp car launches and shuts off for two seconds, then relaunches, how exciting!!"
yes, it's exciting for the racer, but literally no one else (just like bracket racing).

wideopen231GVuess that means there should be some BA parts for sale, after all NC is like nitro Harley capital. Watching one race cpl years ago and 5 out of 8 were from NC, Jay Turner lives about 20 miles. His dad use to own Piedmont dragway and I think he won something like 12 championships.
As much as I love Harley and nitro they sure don't sound great together, they run great, just sound like crap doing it. Hate to see them go.

You are absolutely right but NHRA has done much more than that to shoot themselves in the foot. The attitude that they do not care what the racers, the Spectators or the Sponsors want forces many to go other directions.

-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.
Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

The super classes aren't at national events for entertainment. They are free filler. Better than that, they are paying filler. They are not intended to be part of the show.
