Good call for sending it in. It more likely will come back with the updated Venom 11 metering blocks. It is a much better block...

Wait for the call back. They either made an assembly error or there's been a change in the emulsion stack that warranted a jet change.

I'm not sure what the original problem was but, there's only so much real estate in these metering blocks to move fuel and emulsion channels around. Things can get close and just a small gasket defect can cause problems.

Give Patrick a chance to get back to you. I'm sure he'll sort it out.

If you know better, why call them?

If I were them, I'd tell you to do your own carb.

Hangup

It's methanol, it'll run with no jets, does that make it right? ... no

You got a number in your head, that's all you got.

Well, screw em in there. Why call them, you know the number.

I ran alky for a while and it will do a number on areas with flowing fuel vs just sitting in a fuel tank. Anodizing is not a cure all also but it will increase the life span. Top end lube can also help.

I think adding fuel lube like Klotz Uplon is a wise choice when using methanol. Now that I switched from MFI to EFI, I believe it is even more important with these injectors. The injector company recommends fuel lube for methanol use also. At the end of the season when I pickle my system with 93 pump gas I use fuel lube as well.

I think going 12 yrs without issues until now using lube with methanol is probably why. Great choice!!!

That’s unfortunate to hear. Patrick has become very wealthy from his carb business but I question if he’s running the day to day operations anymore.

Didn't realize it was specifically the jets you were needing or I would have shipped you a set. I never have to go that large on my low power engines.
