Rep. Tony Gonzales Issues Warning, Says Del Rio Migrant Situation ‘An Absolute Powder Keg’
By
Michael Cantrell -
September 22, 2021
According to Rep. Tony Gonzales, a first-time GOP congressman, the situation at an impromptu migrant camp located in Del Rio is probably going to get a whole lot worse over the course of the coming days, weeks, which is not the kind of news the folks down there want to hear right now.

Gonzales went on to predict on Tuesday, during a phone conversation with the Washington Examiner, that based on the intelligence he has been receiving from both federal and state law enforcement, community leaders, residents, and the U.S. and Mexican governments, the camp located at the international bridge might implode sometime soon.

“Del Rio is going to get bad. It’s going to get real bad in Del Rio. And the reason being is there’s still this impression that ‘come to Del Rio and you’ll be released,’” Gonzales said during his conversation with the outlet.

“Once you start expelling these migrants, once they start realizing that they’re being expelled there, they’re going to be unruly. There’s no doubt,” Gonzales went on to say. “If you’re Haitian, you’ve been living in Chile for let’s say five years [and] … you were told, ‘Hey, come to the United States, it’s wide open.’ You pay a cartel $3,000, you make this trek, you come here, you wait under a bridge for three days, four days, whatever it is in the blistering hot sun.”

“Then all of a sudden you’re being told, ‘Hey, we’re going to fly you back to Haiti,’” the congressman stated, making a paraphrase of what he heard from federal law enforcement. “There’s a lot at stake, and a lot of people aren’t going to accept that. Right? So, it’s going to get worse before it gets better.”

via Washington Examiner:

Gonzales said he told Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas his agency should remove everyone in the camp as quickly as possible — far faster than the several thousand removed thus far —because it would avoid thousands being left behind only to learn they may be deported.

Tensions are building, and migrants are already refusing to be deported, as evidenced by a recent hijacking of a federally contracted bus that was transporting Haitian migrants when some people on board overtook the vehicle and escaped. Some fled the bus and were arrested in the vicinity hours later.

“It’s just an absolute powder keg just waiting to happen,” Gonzales then said. “And from the migrants’ standpoint, if you’re starting to see people be sent back to their country of origin … As that word of mouth spreads, one way or another, that’s either going to attract more people to come down, or it’s going to attract even more of a chaotic situation.”

Gonzales then stated that he’s concerned about how federal agents and state law enforcement would respond to violence that might be aimed at them.

Even the news is reporting that the whole idea of deportation is a lie. More of them are being let in than sent back many are reporting. But then the Biden administration has an issue with honesty.

A good interview with a Sheriff from Hildago. Said a lot of them are being bused around the country and given a court date then released..That hasn't worked in the past but as we know our government practices in insanity. One bus load attacked the driver and took over the bus, also reports they were causing issues on the plane's causing them to stop either in the airports or on the tarmac prior to take off.

I'll be curious to see what our Border Patrol, State Police and National Guard does when the illegals storm the fence after finding out they may be shipped back to Haiti.
Will they protect our border or just stand aside?

Problem this is a Federal issue and we didn't have this issue under the previous administration. This isn't political, remember how every camera and media outlet was down there TRYING to find something but now they are not anywhere near it.

The word is for every 1,000 being "repatriated" to Haiti, 2K are being dispersed throughout the USA. (Not TX doing this, it is the jackass Biden admin).
I am so fucing disgusted at our crooked, corrupt, liberal mouthpiece media. Always painting things exactly the opposite of the truth. Our poor CBP guys are outnumbered 10-1, dealing with unruly, non-compliant INVADERS, and the media portrays our guys as the bad guys, and the fucing ILLEGAL INVADERS as the victims. Now this morning you have clueless Joe lying through the idiotic MSM media, accusing the CBP officers of "strapping" (whipping) the invaders, and "running them over" with their horses. By God, that is what SHOULD be happening, IMO, but it is not. He says he is going to "hold the agents accountable". How about the USA holding our derelict "president" and VP accountable?? This is such a shytshow, and it pisses me off that the media does nothing but turn away or distract when this clown parade screws up, and praise them for the whole lot of NOTHING that they do right... Our Governor Abbott is absolutely 100% right, Texas is being forced to do what the Federal Government (Biden) is responsible for, protecting our borders, and maintaining our national sovereignty. How can these A-Hole morons possibly fuc things up any worse than they already have in 8 months? Maybe I better not ask that question...

Many large U.S. cities (including Denver, Co.) use mounted horse patrol officers for crowd control and guidance against legal U.S. citizens, but now they are forbidden from using these same methods against invading foreigners. Just what the hell is going on here and who are the fools who elected this anti-American, pro illegal immigrant administration?

I have seen some odd Buses around North East Texas lately. One looked like an old Prison Bus with some odd BS lettering on it.

As far as my opinion of Sharpton goes. They need to drop him off at the Trinity River on the way back North. There are Alligator Gar bigger than that POS in there.

My office is in Reynosa Mexico just across the border from McAllen, Mission, Hidalgo area. I am there and cross often. On the Mexico side of the Hidalgo bridge there are blocks and blocks of tent and cardboard house “cities” as of immigrants awaiting an opportunity to cross by (I assume) whatever means they can.

I say that to point out that it is a big problem for Mexico and it’s citizens as well. It’s a big problem for a lot of people in North America and the folks in charge don’t seem to be interested in addressing it.

I guess I am old fashioned, but I always believed my father and his friends fought WW2 to provide us a "free" country. Their goal was to raise us and allow us to raise our children to inherit a country they too could live in to worship their own God, walk the streets without fear, and welcome those that wanted to adapt to our way of life and continue what living free entailed. As I get older, I now see this will not be possible for my grandchildren if the current invasion persist. I welcome those that want to enter our country the legal way. As I view today's events, I see this needs to be recognized as an invasion just as we would the Japaneze or Russians entering our borders as attempted before which set in motion the WW's our forefathers fought. IS THAT WHAT A PRESIDENT IS SUPPOSED TO PROTECT US FROM, NOT ENCOURAGE TO HAPPEN. Maybe my old age has caused me to lose focus.

It's all about the votes. If V.P. Giggles Harris and O'Biden want to stop the migration they could but the dems want more votes. 1.2 million so far and that doesn't account for the "Got Away's".
