I will be watching this post. I am also curious, I hear good feedback from several owners.

I got one in a Yukon XL for the wife. Love it. The engine has got up to 30mpg in this huge vehicle and typically averages 25 mpg

35K miles currently

My sister also has one in a Tahoe. No engine fault, but the transmission went out at 30K miles. It was replaced of course, but does concern me.

I would say it’s too early to tell the longevity, but I like it initially.

I’d liked to tow Fancy Gap with the 3.0 in a new 1500 GMC / Chevy in front of my trailer. Following the 6.2 and read about more than usual with rod/ crank and bearing failures recently.

I’m just thinking about my next daily. Need 4wd. Light duty. Roomy for this fella. 4 door. I have 225k on my 2011 Yukon Denali
It’s going to have to be replaced at some point with something a few years old.

I bought my 24 gmc crew cab 10 months ago. Slt package, along with the max tow package. I am.very impressed with this.. currently at 28k miles, Zero issues. City / high mix averages 26+ mpg. Highway is usually 29 - 32 mpg. This is in western pa, so definitely hilly around here. It towed my 24 ft enclosed weighing about 9500# as good as my 2 previous 6.2L crew cabs i had, maybe eve. A bit better due to the low end torque is better with the diesel. I am very pleased with this truck. This is my first diesel. I was going to get a 2500, but even though they don't ride bad, I wanted the smoother ride. I will add air bags this spring as the trailer does squat it a little., even with the weight distribution bars.

My Dad has a Colorado with a 4 cylinder Duramax. I pulled my S-10 to the Indy bracket finals in 2023 with it. Not only did it tow really well, but it got 20mpg pulling it on a 16' open trailer. Dad tells me it'll get over 30mpg on the interstate with no trailer. Pretty impressive.

I have the V-6 in my Colorado and really like it. Runs stout and gets good mileage, I get 30 on highway and 24 in city. I have not used it for towing anything yet.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

I think Mark Whitener has one in a Suburban. He puts tons of miles on his vehicles.
