As America moves to EV transportation (Less a few drr loyal), it’s just a matter of time that American Engineers develop better ways to do this. One, a Michigan based start up is out front. 600 mile range and 250,000 mile life is great news. I’m optimistic Americans will pioneer this change, so America stays out front in one of the last industries still thriving here. If we fail, it will just mean less jobs and more imports.

How long before this "last industry still thriving" is offshored to china too?

Once we pioneer it, like the rest of industry we pioneered, already sent to china??

From what I could tell in that article the THINK they have the technology to possibly get a 600 mile battery that lasts 250,000 miles but it has not been proven, tested or done yet.

I hope it is true but I am not going out buying one yet.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

From metal fabricators to auto mechanics and corn growers, the coming era of electric vehicles will upend jobs across the economy.

Making, selling and servicing vehicles employs an estimated 4.7 million people in the U.S.

Conventional car’s engine and transmission have hundreds of parts, some electric-vehicle powertrains have as few as 17, according to the Congressional Research Service. That doesn’t take into account the radiators, fuel tanks or exhaust systems that electric vehicles don’t need.

Electric cars are a pile of Sh. This is a liberal left wing nightmare. Hydrogen is the answer. As for now I will continue to buy diesel-powered power. Don't be fooled!

HorseSh it!

As America is getting the EV crap shoved down their throat as the next greatest thing.......
the screwing has only just begun.
The technology is just not there yet, not for another 10 years or more will there be any reliable electric transportation, and even then it will be questionable.
Vehicles will have no resale value, the battery technology is to expensive. There will be EV's in landfills right next to worn out wind turbines and solar panels.

Honestly I do not know if electric vehicles will ever be better, lower cost and more efficient than gas powered cars and trucks.

I do not see a problem with trying to get the technology there but seriously doubt it will ever happen and think it is all just a plan to get more control over the peasants.

My 2017 Suburban goes over 600 miles on one 32 gallon tank of fuel, and it takes less than five minutes to refill it when empty. I expect it to last over 300,000 miles with basic maintenance, just like my last truck. The manufacturer needs no tax subsidies to produce it or sell it - people line up to buy them.

My gasoline powered Suburban also puts zero strain on our already outdated and overwhelmed power grid, and the electricity it doesn’t use isn’t produced in coal fired power plants like virtually all electricity.

Wait until you see what the cost to the owner will be to scrap the old batteries. Sure is not going to be free.

Something that hasn't come up in the discussion with the BS of the big EV push, how do they plan on replacing the road/fuel tax that every gas powered vehicle pays at the pump for each state. I don't believe in their cost analysis that they've dialed in the tax cost of all these charging stations.

Mileage tax is the only way to do it, at least so far I believe.

Who cares, other than us TAXPAYERS that are funding this pie in the sky libtard wet dream?

I could go for a multi fuel (gasoline / LP or LNG, CNG) power unit to drive the electric motor(s).

Seems a lot more efficient to me, and railroad locomotives of the past 70 years prove it out.

Anybody see the hilarious story about some YouTuber with 1.4 Million followers, who bought a brand new POS 2023 F-150 Lightning electric truck, then tried to tow his '30 Ford Model A pickup with it? Only a 3500 pound load, didn't even make it 100 miles.
He called it "a complete and total disaster", and said "If a truck towing 3,500 pounds can't even go 100 miles, that is ridiculously stupid."
As more of the truth about this bull**** government force-fed crap comes out, it is probably going to change a lot of minds among the overly-enthusiastic and clueless green crowd. Of course we can assume the corrupt and complicit liberal media will not publish the truth...

Great, a 600 mile battery. How long to charge a battery like that, 2 days? I`ll keep my F450 with a diesel. I drove from North Carolina to NJ, 585 miles and never stopped for fuel. f o c k your EV.
