That's 42 minutes, 30 seconds.

Thats A LOT faster than I would have guessed. Some of those guys at bi money races need a map to find the staging beams and it makes watching the dragster portion of mmtv streams unbearable.

Mark Cmar51 seconds x 100 cars is 5100 seconds or 85 minutes

TomR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rlef_8dopsIThis is my normal routine. Roughly 37 sec. from start of burnout to full stage. No smoke to clear from in the car. I don't feel like this is slow.

We have Dumbazz Bob D trying to make himself feel better. Your comment has nothing to do with the topic, other than you are being stupid.
I would venture to say, the temporary holes are for cooling & will be replaced with an upper/lower grill.
There you go NimboNoRod, are you happy I posted in one of your recent threads? Behind the scenes, Nimbo is begging me to reply to his threads.

Um, pretty sure he’s talking about Nim needing to fix the holes in his car that are letting the smoke in. Has nothing to do with the car in the avatar. Just sayin’.

racerdude2054A race in August in Ohio, the working man’s 10K will have a shot clock
65 seconds from the time the pair in front crosses the finish line until the next pair should be staged
That is staged, not pre staged. No staging duals or both cars out
January 25, 2024, 03:28 PM
Big SteveI saw that and thought 65 and 60 seconds is pretty generous

If that's the case, then I'm the stupid dumbazz & my apology to Bob D.
Now I need to delete my posts from this thread & NimboNoRod needs to take back his "Thank you"; I contributed nothing.

-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.
Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

BD104XIf more than one person has "mentioned" that you take a while, then you probably take a really long time. I know one or two racers who take a really long time and anytime anyone mentions it, they are genuinely surprised.

HR3377Every track has "that/those racers" that have to start their burn out and stage last, just learn their game and know what to expect. Most of us race the same cars every race.
January 28, 2024, 03:13 PM
Toad1I have enough memory loss from after the burnout to pre-stage, I have no idea. I am sure of one thing, I will never (usually) stage first but I don't think I am more than 1-2 seconds after them. I am the OLD GUY and it takes me a while!!! Actually, I don't care when I stage because I don't put the button in until both lanes are staged. Everyone has their habits, if you race locally, learn them. If you travel around, be prepared. Still have to let go on time and take 10" at the stripe.

slantzillaI like to stage fast. The sooner I run, the sooner I get to load up and go home.
