Yeah, I get that. I bought my Nova for $400 in 1992. Been racing it since then. I've jumped in other cars and dragsters over the years but always come back to my "hooptie" Nova.
I call it a hooptie to honor my friend Lee Calvert. Lee like street cars and would race what I had at the time. 80 Malibu wagon, 98 Tahoe and others.

Made a deal Monday on the car I'm buying. Pretty excited to say the least.
1986 Oldsmobile Firenza, Jerry Haas built Pro Stocker. Was originally built for Larry Morgan and ran as the Castrol GTX car. Has been through a few owners, but all in all in great shape.
You bought John Longs car, very cool ride for sure

At 56 o think I’m driving my last build. 21’ racetech shorty pretty well optioned out. Sbc with twin turbos that I can switch from running 4.60’s to 4.30’s with just downloading a tune. Been a pretty good combo but I need to get my head screwed on straight at the finish line. I can’t seem to post a picture anymore.

61 and while I say I am working on my last car I doubt I'll stick to that. I do know over the years I had always wanted and Ex Pro Stock car, which I had one of Rick Jones personal cars. But after getting, redoing and racing it I learned sometimes getting what you always wanted can be not as fun as you thought it would. And like most everything I have owned and built sold it.
