It was quite accurate to use the dollar sign opposed to saying money. The USD is worth nothing, it's backed by nothing, it's redeemable for nothing, it's an IOU nothing. Virtually all the worlds currencies are fiat and it's a fact ALL fiat currencies throughout history have failed (thank you Tricky Dycky). The world will not end, the sky will not fall. However, those that are prepared will prosper during hard times.

I have a lot of opinions on what is happening but to limit it just this forum of Supply Chain;

I build Trailer Toads, we have never, in the last 12 years, been backordered and delayed as much as we have since a year ago in March.

First it was Dexter Axles not being able to get employees to show up, that caused HUGE backorders of axles and it showed up in long delays for trailer orders, etc. Dexter is now the ONLY mfg, to my knowledge, of torsion and HD trailer axles. They bought every other mfg.

I have had 2 to 3 week delays trying to get 1/2" and 5/8" hot roll steel plate for my plasma cutter. Everything is either 30% more or backordered so a price increase is "acceptable".

I would have thought my company would be really slow with fuel at near $5.00 a gallon, prices for everyone going up, etc.

We have never been busier, ever. It's great but a HUGE struggle in the hours it takes to get raw materials.

Not sure what the future holds but to think the Biden Administration has even the slightest clue what is really happening is just being stupid. The head of DHS actually testified "their administration is doing a good job handling the southern border"!!! OMG-- talk about out of touch and flat out lying!!

Anyway, for now, we have some great races coming but I think we, drag racers, as we know it now are on a short leash. If Biden signs, without reading like usual, an executive order to ban "leaded gas for Internal Combustion Engines, it would create a HUGE problem (unless you build methanol carbs I guess ;-)

Going to be interesting what is left for the grandkids, that's for sure.

Good luck to all of us and I hope we can recover our Country before it is too late.

This is a vicious circle of issues. The Russian invasion of Ukraine will only cause more problems. Both these countries supply a lot of stuff. Ukraine is now a mess and Russian goods will now either be held from us, boycotted or tariffed beyond belief.

Now China is being shut down again.

This all on top of everything still being behind from the past 2yr shutdown.

Hang on fellas

Just a link to the Rueters story about trucking demand. Also been echoed by others as well as future trucking contracts dropping off

Contracts or no contracts. It effects all transportation lines. The small guys will be put out to pasture due to fuel cost. They are working on a "Shoe string" balance sheet. It is going to get worse. Hows one fill up of of twin tanks cost
you $1000.. Bad time to own a truck now for a O/O.

It is just damaging these hard working Owner/operators. I know all about what is going on. ROI.... it is a JOKE. Have one tire blow, you are now in the RED.

Average fuel cost yearly now on fuel alone is about $70.000.00 a year..Per truck. People have no idea.

When you have nothing to ship it doesn't surprise me that trucking would be down.

The more you submit, the worse it gets.

The supply chain didn't destroy itself.

Submitting to BS is/was/will be the trojan horse.

Dow Jones down almost 1,000 points today.
Things are great. I see absolutely no signs of a recession.

Stocks are at a ever growing discount. On sale really. If you need a good retirement start investing in S&P mutual index funds, all they way down til the market bottoms, and all they way back up to today's market value. Buy the same dollar amount EVERY single week, as much as you can afford.. Have it automatically bought so you don't miss any great opportunity. The outcome will be fantastic.
