Am I the only one who has been having issues getting stuff delivered?

I order something from summit that is shipped from their Arlington store which normally takes 1 day after I order. I like that. Last order took 7 days to go 130 miles. Picked up and went to Mesquite, from Mesquite to Austin, from Austin back to Mesquite, Mesquite to Belton, from there out for delivery only to not be delivered and have delivery date changed to the next day. Next day it finally shows up.

Amazon order was done practically the same.

Ordered a new FTI converter around 6 Feb, it shipped on 11 Feb but I was told when I ordered it that they were running about 2 1/2 weeks behind so I didn't start looking for it right away. Well because I want to get a few hits in with my totally new combo (engine, converter, rear gears, and baby bubbas) I made a call yesterday to find out if it had shipped. I was told 11 Feb and they gave me the UPS tracking number. Now it seems it is lost, last tracked to the hub in River City, FL. But their own customer service cannot get their phone number. The web site just says "in transit".
I filed a claim with UPS and contacted FTI and now I am stuck waiting again.
I'm trying to get ready for the SFG race in Fl next month but don't want to test while I'm racing.

Yeah I know I'm venting. Anyone else having these issues?
Anyone work at the UPS Hub in River City that can find my converter? May I Help you

Dave

Unfortunately no you are not alone. I have had a number of issues with shipping lately. From Amazon to UPS to Fedex to USPS. I even have had two items just disappear with claims filed but doubt I'll ever get them resolved. Its definitely become a pain. I sent a buddy a 7" converter to try in his car. Went to TN middle of last year and it never showed up, UPS has no idea but will not close the claim either.

All shipping is effed up right now, took almost 2 weeks for UPS to get me a part for my truck from Dmax store in Calif, same issues with FedEx and Amazon. Took over a week to get a oil pan gasket from Summit, and they are 20 miles from me and was in stock but for some dumb reason they shipped it from Ohio

Yeah, I requested they send everything from the Texas store first then from another warehouse. So far it has worked pretty well for me. I did the same thing with shipping. UPS always shows up late in the evening and Fed Ex always before noon. So I requested they ship to me using Fed Ex. Worked well until now..

Told the wife I'm just going to drive up there next time I order, and I hate driving anywhere near Dallas/Ft Worth..

LOL... UPS must have eyes in the sky..

Just received a call from Dalton at FTI. He checked with UPS on his end and was told my converter was out for delivery today..

Check with the tracking number and bigger than crap they posted it as being delivered today by 9:00 PM. We will see if it is actually delivered or if it gets on a flight back to Florida... Big Grin Big Grin
Can't say anything good about UPS, but Dalton jumped all over it..

Had a document shipped to me from Baltimore to here in central NC for next day delivery. Took 21 days for it to get here. Was hanging around Greensboro for a few days then shipped to Siler city then back to Greensboro for a few more days than finally got here. I to should have drove up there to get it.

Count me in on the fun. Had a Amazon item via USPS, while my address was correct on Amazon the post office was trying to deliver it to the wrong zip code. Of course you can't talk to a person either place. Had I been able to, shipping a replacement could have been avoided. After the replacement shipped the original item shows up later that morning. Tried to get the replacement stopped, but once I got a response via email, they said give it to charity or just keep it. Policy trumps common sense. In all fairness this was during the ice storm in OK. I have received 5 or 6 other item in a timely fashion with little extra delay.

Can't exactly recall, but I had a Amazon, via Amazon carrier, delivered in either a Penske or Ryder badged truck! So there are some serious rookie drivers out there. Along with all other positions.

Fed Ex "delivered" a copy of some legal documents, to keep on site, here, last week. The envelope was soaking wet somehow. When the driver wanted me to sign for it, I asked him how it got so wet.
" I really dont know how that happened. My bad."

These are legal docs ??? I had to lay them out flat to dry, and call back to Indy and tell them not to use FE again ! It seems to happen quite often here in the Raleigh area too.

You have to put in the effort, to get anything out of it.

Must be by area. Amazon gets here so fast it's ridiculous. FedEx is delivering around here on Sat. and Sun. During the Christmas rush USPS ran an extra carrier there were so many packages mail would come in the morning and packages late in the evening. I've had the mail carrier on Sun. delivering packages, this is a rural route carrier. UPS man does a good job and never a problem.

I placed an order with Meziere two weeks ago and FedEx tracker said I would have that Saturday February 20, well after waiting till Tuesday and package never moved out of California I placed a second order at Meziere and said to ship it UPS. UPS package came that Monday as the tracker number said it would but FedEx package never left California so I told FedEx to return it to Meziere and Meziere to reship it through UPS. UPS came through for me.
Also I must add FedEx still hasn’t returned the package to Meziere. I have a feeling I am gonna have to place another order to get what I wanted this year sometime.

Man it is really frustrating when you’re just wanting your stuff. The shipping companies and Amazon have spoiled us. Now with sooo many people stuck at home orders went through the roof. Getting employees and getting them trained is a daunting task. Add to all that getting backed up with inclement weather and now it’s just a disaster waiting to happen daily.

I’m not trying to only stand up for the shipping companies but I do understand their dilemmas. I hope everybody gets their items, because I know how it feels having been there myself.
