Does your wife know how much you spend on racing? Or how much your car is worth?

I just hope if I die that one of my friends tells my wife what my car is worth instead of buying it for what I told her it’s worth

The vultures will be at the door!!!! I never knew how much I spent or I would have quit long ago.
My brother died a month ago and left her a complete racing operation and a LS6 70 Chevelle. She has no clue what its worth, None.

She knows I spend less than she does on everything she spends money on so it’s mutually assured destruction. LOL

My wife is the best, going on 43 years & she's my high school sweetheart. She has never questioned my racing spending even in our early years. Racing has been much easier with sponsors/$$$ backers & driving other people's race vehicles. I've been truly blessed with support in my 35+ years of racing.

2BKINGs wife still knows what I spend, but she's grateful it's not all on our dime! Smile

My wifes sewing machines are worth more than my race car. She has all my credit cards and I don’t question her use.

Weird that this would come up today.
2 years ago today I made mention in a facecrack post that I had the world's best wife, because I got my butt chapped for NOT spending more money on my race car. Eek Big Grin

It's times like this I wish DRR had a like button like CR. I hope my SO never finds out how much I have or have spent to go racing. If she sells it all if something happens to me, I won't know it, so I do not care.

My wife out spends me 10:1, I don't care. My only thought is that she is HAPPY.

Her only complaint/concern: She doesn't want to see me hurt again.

My uncle was a very, very good dirt track racer back in the 80's. Won multiple championships at several tracks (even won track championships at three different track in one season). He was very fast. And he spent a TON on the racing operation. He and my aunt owned a very successful trucking company, so he could afford it. My aunt always said, as long as he doesn't ask me how much I spend on the house, I don't ask how much he spends on the racecar. She always had some sort of remodel or upgrade going on .

Yeah she knows, shook her head when I had to do belts, jacket, pants, gloves , window net and shoes….
Then entries. Fuel/all and groceries.
It’s fine.

Awesome, Tracy. I saw your new profile pic and I'd know the front of that roadster anywhere. Gonna be at Orlando/Gainesville? How fast do you think it will go?

My roommate, working on that becoming a little more than that is a racer too. She would rather get car parts and eat ramen noodles than have steaks.....

I am very lucky, wife says buy whatever you need. Bought a full cage Mustang that I can get in. She did not hesitate.

After nearly 50 years together, we have one primary account. Whoever sees something to buy, always had a green light.

We both buy anything we want, we also let each other know before spending.

We worked together for everything, only regret is we got old.
