Ca Fuel Prices up July 1!

Beginning July 1, California’s gas tax increases from 41.7 cents to 47.3 cents per gallon, a 5.6 cent increase in the price of fuel.

The tax increase is an annual adjustment to the tax the state applies to a gallon of gas. In 2016, Californians paid about 28 cents in state taxes for a gallon of gas.

That does not include the Federal gas tax of 18.4 cents per gallon and from 7.25 to 9.75 cents per gallon local sales tax. Congratulations California you have now surpassed Pennsylvania as the highest gas tax state in the country.

When everything is coming your way, your probably in the wrong lane.

Thanks for the warning. I will make sure I am packing enough gas to make it so I don't have to stop in Cal next month when I go through there from Oregon into Nevada and back.

Pretty good stretch from there to Vegas or further Joe. Aux tank when you find the deals. Puts a damper on travels..

The Chicago political machine can spend it way faster than they can tax it. There is a proposal to separate Chicago from Illinois. I'm all in baby! The rest of the state is pretty decent and normal.

We have E85 in some locations and pretty much all is blended. Sonoma Raceway has Sunoco and some Sac Valley areas sell it too.

I don't think you're up to speed on the Chiraq/Illinois financial dilemma. There is no way they can tax their way out! State government pension default is imminent.

Gotcha. Just wondered but have never been there. 100% is all I run in everything I own that uses gasoline but it is easy to get around here. I just hate what the ethanol does to things. 100% is about .40 cents higher.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.
