FDA approval
Are those the same folks who approved Oxycontin?

How'd that work out?

Yup, and it should be available OTC.

If they scan my driver license to purchase a f'in allergy tablet, they can do the same with the pain meds. Take the crooked doctors and BS out of the loop. Let the Pharmacist take care of it, as they should.

I have some Oxy, I've never taken one yet.

A 500 Vicodin is all I need, took them regular for 5 years, no issues.

Amen. Having worked in a number of 3rd world countries, it's a little confusing how these poorly educated people can walk in and buy antibiotics, codeine cough syrup, pain meds, testosterone, Viagra, etc., etc. The answer's no secret, the medical lobbyist have long ago hamstrung the consumer and have a go-between to get to the medicine the average person knows what they need. And of course big pharma inflates the price based on "ability to pay". Not much supply vs demand free market at work there.

My last two visits to my personal doctor (vs. VA) the charges have been as follows: Charge $554., Payment adj. per medicare $431, Now due $123.07!!! And Charge $774., Payment adj. $671., Now due $103. That about a 75+% overcharge of what medicare would allow to be charged. Mind you I was not sick, simply got the doctor to write a Rx per my request, which he had no problem doing. Can you say clearing house.

I'll expand on that. My giflfriend has to take a mental health medication. Her sister is a pharmacist at the hospital. GF was paying about $400/mo for the meds. Her sister said we can get it for you at our cost. Well just out of curiousity, what is your cost? $2.24. That's per month, for 30 day supply.

I know of some who are in the medical business, one guy works for a pbm. pbm's should be illegal and they are finally getting the attention that they should have had years ago. Another person I know owns a company that manages 3 nursing homes. Basically they steal money from people-and legally. He always says that "that business costs"--and I agree 100%, it does cost--however, I also know that anyone who can afford to spend $37.4M in cash for a DUCK HUNTING LEASE PROPERTY, is doing something "right". There is so much more to this, that it's, frankly it makes one upset.

it's said that the medical business is "big business"--and while I understand capitalism, I also understand absolute greed.

Whats a pbm?

"Pharmacy Benefits Managers, also referred to as PBMs, are, in essence, the intermediaries of almost every aspect of the pharmacy benefits marketplace. Many people assume that pharmacy benefits come directly from the health insurance provider when, in reality, PBMs are doing the bulk of the work for over 80% of employers in the U.S.

PBMs are hired by corporate employers, health plans, labor unions, and other organizations, to interface with drug manufacturers and process prescription-related claims. In short, PBMs are the connectors between employers, members, drug wholesalers, pharmacies, and drug companies, working to facilitate the best possible health outcomes at the best possible costs. Having an effective pharmacy benefit strategy, and selecting the right PBM to meet an employer’s needs, is critical to ensuring the success of a benefits plan, optimizing spend, and protecting the well-being of employees."

I just heard on Alex Jones, it'll be mandatory everyone has breathalyzer in their car, It'll detect not only if you're drunk, but if you're fit to drive a car. Like if you have a fever.

Twilight Zone!

I think it's time everyone says NO to unlawful orders!
