It's understandable that they need a cut off ET somewere and if you go to fast you're out.

What I'd like to know, if the fastest you can dial is 6.10, how do you run a tenth+ under your dial? Are they/you holding a tenth dialing 6.10?

I've only been 7.50s but never picked up a tenth accidentally. Smile

Cool

I can assure you a procharger setup can pick up .1 or more at times, especially when the converter isn’t perfect, been there done that

Blower car to. Last year I think I ran like 6.14 during Friday qualifying, the next morning the air got a little better and I thought I was set up for 6.10 or 11 and went 6.01. Picked up a huge amount by the 330 because the track prep was so much better and carried it all the way down.
When you get to the HP level of a really fast TD its does not take a huge change to make a big swing in either direction

Well, rules are rules, at least it looks like they're applying it fairly.

I think being DQ'd for the entire event is a little harsh.....or is that only for elimination rounds?
Be tough to get tossed on your 1st qualifying run. Eek Frown

Dang!! Never mind, I see that one was during Q2.

I ain't mad about the limits, because speeds in excess of 200 MPH brings the necessary safety resources required into a totally different level.

1/8th mile racing is real popular with the safety and insurance crowds for a reason.

For the whole event, no matter when it happens… unless its testing before the event starts
