Since it's topical, let's discuss the situation where the purse from multiple days gets combined. Lots of different angles to look at from the racer's point of view, and the promoter points of view. Personally, my first thought is that if I'm single entered for multiple days, I have that many opportunities to win that purse, but if the purse gets doubled, I now only have one chance at it. Bummer, in my opinion. What if I was only entered for one day? Should a portion of the entry be paid back and just scrub the purse that didn't happen? Bummer for the promoter. Back in the day, at some races, 2 out of 3 events constituted a completed event. Bummer. Just want to hear other folks thoughts? I have no bone to pick or dog in the hunt. The way I always heard that last example was you paid for 2 days and the 3rd one was free. So if one got rained out it was the free one. I to always figured if I paid for 3-4 or whatever thats what I should get 3-4 chances to win not one for twice the purse. But there is no happy for all when the schedule is determined by weather, car count, etc. Thats how we got buy backs in the first place, the last example, not enough cars.

I’ve ran the million events a few times and always had fun. I am happy the folks have great turnouts for the event. Over 700 cars yesterday is amazing!! But* this seems to happen every year with this event now. At this point might as well advertise it as combining 2 of the races and running it over 2 days
