Updated flyer for the 5th Annual Colonial Classic presented by Calvert Kettle Corn at Virginia Motorsports Park:

- Thursday’s $10K Legendary 64-Car Shootout will be First Come – First Served. $300 Entry includes Test n’ Tune (3PM-9PM). First round of Eliminations at 6PM

- **FOOTBRAKE**: Added a work-friendly, affordable, 2-Day program, Two $5K Footbrake races for Only $150, SAT-SUN!

- High-roller Footbrakers are also invited to compete in the $20K Main Events: The 32-Car Footbrake AllStars run separate, with their own Bye Run each round. The last FB AllStar standing earns a $1,000 bonus (pays for your weekend!), and advances into the next round of the $20K Main Event along with the Box cars (which would likely be the ladder round, so you could be in the potential split talks!).

Virginia Motorsports Park has always been a favorite on our schedule, but with new owners Tommy & Judy Franklin this year along with manager Allen Carpenter, they have raised the bar BIG TIME! Loose Rocker racers broke in the brand new concrete surface back in March, with absolutely stunning performances, all the way down to 29 degrees in the finals the first night! Since then, VMP has continued doing phenomenal work with upgrades throughout the facility, unveiled at the triumphant return of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series with the Virginia Nationals.

Scheduling note for Fri-Sat-Sun Box/Top ET cars: In order to give all double entries more time to get back for their second entry, we will run Door Car *and* Dragster double entries first and concurrently. Double entered Door Cars will be called to one set of lanes, and double entered Dragsters to another set of lanes. We will run a pair of Door Cars, then a pair of Dragsters, alternating pairs of Door Cars and pairs of Dragsters as we work our way back the lanes. This will give everyone equal amounts of time to get back to the lanes. As usual, if we run out of side-by-side pairs after all run colors have been called, door cars may be paired with dragsters.

We will be working be out lending a hand in the staging lanes along with Robert Kinton and Gary Murph to ensure everything runs smoothly.

".011 Pack Jordy" doesn't rhyme, but a perfect light and .011-over lap earned Jordan Wike a cool $500 in the Dash for Cash! Chad Traylor's .012 pkg trailed by just a thou to pick up a $100 Gift Certificate from Summit Racing Equipment. Roger Bridges and Scott Macy picked up Best Losing Package prizes, $100 Gift Certificates from DragRaceSolutions. Best Losing Package prizes for first round were Jesse Betterton and Mike Novitsky, earning a Free Re-Entry from Loose Rocker Promotions.

We've had folks start to ask about the weather for the rest of the weekend. We use the Dark Sky app, which has proven to be the most accurate service we've seen, nailing raindrop arrival literally down to the minute, numerous times. Dark Sky uses your GPS location, triangulating the forecast for YOUR location off of multiple weather stations, instead of using the forecast for a single station that's not even where you are. Basically, we are looking at the off chance of a late afternoon shower on Saturday, and a small chance of a stray shower Sunday morning. With the new drainage and new racing concrete surface this year, VMP will dry much quicker than before, and without the water seepage issues of the past. Come on out, and we will give you a great time full of racing all weekend long!

Reminder as well that you can come in Saturday and still buy a 3-Race Entry at the discounted $499 rate to double enter Sat/single Sun, or vice versa. We will also have our $5K Footbrake races, $150/Weekend for two 5K's, Sat-Sun!
