-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Any body is better than that jack @s$ Trey Capps. Good riddance and here's hoping she does well and stops the favoritism to racers in the Division.

Her bio listed lots of experience in track management and such before joining NHRA (7 years I think?) including running a successful bracket program, etc. So, based on that, I'd say;

A) She's likely a tad older than she looks, and
B) The NHRA should have just remarked on her experience, qualifications, and success, and left all the "first female" crap out of the press release.

Well Mady got her first trial by fire this past weekend at the Tulsa divisional. Thursday night a big storm came through and lightning took out a transformer that ran basically everything. It was a track owned transformer so the electric company was not a quick option. Mady knew one of the super comp racers owned a commercial electrical business and she got him involved to get parts and installation done in a timely manor. After several hours of logistics and hard work the problem was resolved during the day on Friday and she rearranged the schedule to get the race in. Test N Tune was ran Friday evening and the rest of qualifying was ran on Saturday with eliminations ran on Sunday and finished by about 5:30.
Since Friday was a wait and see type day I thought I would go take care of my license renewal and had a question for Mady. When I tracked her down she was still involved with the track problem and ask if I could come back in a couple of hours. I didn't have too because she came and found me and resolved my issue at my trailer. As soon as my questions were answered she was off to put out the next fire.
I too wish that NHRA would leave out the "First Woman..." stuff but so be it. I hope she succeeds for her sake but more importantly for our sake. After all if she does well it works out good for the racers.

Wow! Someone with actual knowledge of her and the job she is doing. What a concept to actually talk about something you know from first hand experience. I hope that catches on with some of the others here.

I was going to post something similar this past weekend. My WiFi dropped out and deleted the post. I wasn't going to type all of it again. Sounds like davidsracing had even more info to back up her performance. Given the situation I thought she handled it well. The race ran pretty smooth.
