That was a joke guys. In this woke country we are living in I thought it would fit the times. I'm thrilled NHRA gave her a shot and hopefully they made their decision based on merit not sex. Lighten up guys. Don't take things so serious.

True, I said in an earlier post here, all I care about is hiring most qualified. I do not care about Color, Sex or sexual preferences if they are most qualified.

Is she the right person for the job? We will see and I hope she does well. It is in everyone's best interest for her to do well.

I have some up close personal experience with women in the workplace. First my former wife. Very smart and very competent. She eventually rose to the position of President of a family owned surveying outfit. A very man dominated profession. She ran it for years very profitability and successfully. Eventually new blood management saw her squeezed out and an all male hierarchy once again prevailed.

My former step-daughter is an OB GYN doctor. They were very late admitting her to med school. In fact she was pursuing DO school, which she cancelled, to accept the med school offer. While I can't know, at the time, I feel pretty sure it was to get the female head count up. She is very smart (damn sure smarter than me) and competent and a exemplary doctor.

My daughter works for Salesforce, a monster of a software company. She too is a very competent person and has risen thanks to her ability. I don't think any quotas had to be meant in her origination(s), very much today's thinking.

So while I give women a pretty hard time I have been surrounded by very successful females. All as or more successful than myself. For the most part, in my personal experience, competence has risen to the top. I certainly support that.

Exactly the comments by many racers at the D1 divisional this weekend. All agree it’s a tough job for a man to deal with hundreds of racers that only see or their way. Time will tell if she has the operational and managerial skills as well the mental toughness to do the job effectively.

I’ve known Larry for quite a while guys. In no way was he serious. Yes comments can be taken the wrong way, it’s like a text- you have no way of knowing the true basis for one’s emotions or feelings and most of the time it’s 180 the opposite.

She’s qualified! Anyone deserves a chance to prove they have it. I could care less, female, male, race or whatever! If they are qualified then end of story.
