BD104XLife Insurance....
What are you guys doing for life insurance that isn't a fortune? I have applied with 3 different companies - I am a healthy 54 year old but once they pull my medical records from my doctors office which shows my physical for my license every other year, I get a bunch of questions about racing and the rate quadruples.
My concern isn't even from dying in a racing accident but I know insurance companies will do all they can to NOT pay a claim so I am afraid to lie once they ask about racing and then give them an excuse not to pay my loved ones even if I kick the bucket from natural causes. Thanks.

EmanI have a policy from many years ago. Once I got old I never saw much need for life insurance since everything is paid off and all I want them to do is burn me in a brush pile.

ferndaleflyerI am like Eman. I started out sleeping under a bridge and got this far on my own, was given nothing. I have no life insurance but enough assets to plant 1/2 the country so those 2 daughters I have get it all and it is up to them to get me disposed of. I DO have a will and you all should also.

DragRaceResultsMany companies classify auto racing as a dangerous avocation. If you disclose it, they may approve your policy at normal, standard rates, but attach an exclusion rider. exclusion rider. This means your beneficiaries will receive the death benefit for any cause of death, except for one directly related to racing. Ask for this.

RPROGASAs long as I am involved in racing no Insurance Company will even offer me a policy. Our (8) children will inherit plenty of money and property when my wife and I pass, I'm not even considering a Life Insurance Policy. Enough is enough but if it's not, tough shyt, work a second job like I did for years.

BD104XI'm still about 9 years from retirement but my wife has no pension or retirement to speak of so I just want to make sure she has enough to pay off what is left of our mortgage and live comfortably if I kick the bucket.
I asked both companies about a drag racing exclusion but both declined.

Mark YeagerIt very expensive. But the it's cost of doing business. It hurts to pay it, but at least I know if I get killed on the track my wife is covered.
