BP758Maduro Captured
It’s a dictatorship, that doesn’t work for the Venezuelan’s. Nor does the fact that oil verses drugs are funneling through there. Citco oil is in hot water owned by -
The toppling of President Nicolas Maduro has thrust Venezuela's debt crisis — one of the world's largest unresolved sovereign defaults — into the limelight.
Following years of economic crisis and U.S. sanctions that severed the country from international capital markets, Venezuela defaulted in late 2017 after missing payments on international bonds issued by the government and state oil company, Petroleos de Venezuela,
known as PDVSA.

Same happened in Saudi Arabia, so I expect we'll see this happen there?

^^^^^ This. I worked for Halliburton, a major oilfield service company for those that don't know. I worked on an offshore drilling operation in Lake Maracaibo. Halliburton's property was painted in standard Red & white livery. When the oilfield was nationalized, overnight the property was painted blue if I recall correctly (use to have a photo, couldn't post it on here anyway). So the price of a world class operation was the cost of a few gallons of paint.

I also worked in Saudi. The first attempt at "Saudization" of ARAMCO (Arabian American oil co) was a disaster and the expats had to be brought back in to right the ship (prior to my stint). Subsequent efforts meant bloating American operations with Saudi personal solely with an office, desk and a phone. Later American educated Saudi's did take over key operational onsite positions. It was not an overnight coup like Venezuela.
Don't let your political bias taint reality.

BP758Venezuela is a significant transit country for drugs, primarily cocaine produced in neighboring Colombia, but is not a major producer itself. U.S. estimates from 2020 assessed that approximately 200 to 250 metric tons of cocaine flowed through Venezuela annually, processed in Bolivia.
Take it over, get oil flowing and stop the Cartel. Twice wins! The last administration had no balls at all!
