The cheapest ticket to watch a Padre game in San Diego is $189 per person, and that's in the nose bleed section. A Field Level ticket begins at $2000 per person. Therefore, if there are 82 home games a season ticket (82 games ..... per person) would cost you $164,0000, hot dog and a drink are extra. So if you, and your wife, want to purchase field level season tickets the price is $328,000. Drag Racing NOW looks plenty inexpensive, at least you get to keep the car, trailer and tow vehicle (and your house) at the end of the season. I highly doubt the Padres will allow you to keep a player at the end of the season. Bob | ||

They are pulling the All-Star Game from Atlanta. So I suggest you keep your hard earned dollars, or spend them elsewhere. Fvck MLB. Jim, I am shocked that large brands/corps are willing to chance the backlash that will accompany these very political moves. I don't fly delta and don't drink coke. But I will look for any coke brand products to remove from possible consumption. I see gold peak tea is in their lineup so I won't grab one of those at the gas station. We can't just keep giving out free passes to those whose business decisions are harming our country economically, or by reducing freedoms of speech, choice, and constitutional rights. I get the noble concept of "taking the high road" and not getting down in the dirt with your opponent, but sometimes you gotta fight fire with fire. If the corporate suits only hear applause when they embrace a bullshyt social cause and alter their company policy to suck up to those on the left, more and more of them will jump in and follow. I think they need to see, hear, and feel some backlash to their token virtue-signaling foolishness, in order to cause some consideration before doing so again. And it also reinforces the smarter executives at companies that wisely choose to not participate in the liberal media-created shytstorms. Silence is golden sometimes, I don't care a whole lot what ideology a corporation's executives believe in, as long as they don't play this idiotic liberal / socialist game and institute policies designed to appease the radical mob, or ease their personal misguided white guilt. But if we don't speak up against some of the absurdly intrusive, freedom-stealing BS proposals out there, they will become law, or in some cases, corporate-dictated requirements that have the effect of law- (like a vaccine passport, or vax apps on your phone, that will be required by certain businesses or industries, in order to gain their permission to fly, cross state lines, or even shop for food if the commie control freaks get their way). Liberal media is not only all media, it is establishment owned multinational corporation controlled propaganda, which is just another word for public relations, everyone knows what PR is. So with that being said, these multinational corporations, meaning the American Icon Name brand companies which used to fund the Republican party, while the labor unions funded the Democrat. So there was a balance of power between labor and production, actually at stake in in elections before the before the US was de-industrialized, before globalism. Now as a result of globalism and the de-industrialization of the United State there are no labor unions to speak of or to fund the democrats or American Big business to fund the Republican party, so what do we have now? We have multinational corporations made up of the icon American brands like Chevrolet (GM) funding both parties, and fakes news, PR to create the illusion both parties aren't feathers of the same bird. Well technically, who loses out on all the money that those games brought in? The fields are often in, and employ, workers who are near the bottom of the food chain....many are minorities. One of the most absurd ideas the current Socialist Democratic Party talks about is "Redistribution of Wealth", a concept that is completely Un-American, as we have traditionally rewarded those willing to put forth effort, to work hard, long, smart. So the idea of taking from those who work, and giving it to those who choose not to, seems completely laughable, until everyone realizes they are now regularly printing out free money, depositing it in the accounts of everyone making under $75K, and then they will soon implement a MASSIVE tax increase to pay for it all. There is your wealth redistribution.  My son and his mother both have received all of the "Stimulus Money" payouts. Both have said they do not need the money. This deal is so idiotic. They both thought about returning the payments, then realized they are going to have to pay it back in the form of taxes anyway, so may as well bank it, for that purpose. And I'm sure everyone has heard many stories of people making more income off Unemployment than what they were being paid from the jobs they lost during the Covid pandemic. So why even look for a job, when you can sit on your azz, and play video games or watch TV and pull in more money?? This mess is completely unsustainable. I truly fear for the future of this nation. And the idiots running the shytshow that was placed into power are trying to alter the rules to ensure they can cheat and control the outcome of every future election.
