Tree Sensing Devices - The New Hot Topic
So how about this....it's down to 3 cars and Racer X gets busted in a surprise inspection, dead to rights, he's out!!
What happens for the 6 or 7 racers that Racer X eliminated in the earlier rounds? Divvy the dirty racer winnings between them? What if every one of them went red, or maybe 2 of them? Do they get any share since the cheating didn't beat them?

Y'all are going to mentally fornicate yourselves crazy going down this rabbit hole.

Here's my take...NOTHING prevents me from being .000 up front and dead 0 at the stripe but ME.
If a cheating racer isn't set up .000 total, I can get inside it.

In order to answer this question you must first come to the conclusion of the first question, that is if someone is cheating, yes or no. then once that has been determined will you then move on to your question. Everyone here is correct when they say cut a light and run a number, I think we all get that, BUT when someone else has an illegal advantage at doing so then thats when the issue arises.
Kinda like saying when you roll the dice at a casino anyone can roll them perfectly at any time, then along come Boy Wonder with his loaded dice, should we or the house then say who cares let him win?

As a rule of thumb I'd say whoever started the rumor saying racers had tree sensing as well as other devices in order to go dead on, have a good look at his car first, and most thoroughly.

Quite possibly a valid statement but that does not negate the fact of others doing it, the accuser is not always the suspect. As most cheaters are silent. As one can also say your statement is only to deflect from yourself whether you are the accuser or not.

If you can’t win or can’t beat them call them cheaters. Kind of the way of the new “soft Americans.”

So are you saying that some of the ones who win and cant be beat ARE NOT cheating? Cheating doesnt exist?

16 pages and we have a silver car that was inspected, I'm guessing nothing was found. And of course the mention of the dirty dozen which was quite some time ago and had nothing to do with the tree.
No actual device, no one caught and no names.

You nailed it. Show me something that’s being used instead of a bunch of whiners that are getting beat by racers that actually attend these races on a regular basis.

In a local race, no box, a 6 package beat a 7 package in the final. Nobody cried foul. A friend of mine laid out a 6 package and got beat in the second round of the Byron money race. I didn't hear that the other car was a cheater.
I imagine if a bunch of racers have to tolerate a polygraph to go to money races, there will be some that just say to he11 with it.

As long as the Polygraph is free then I have no issues, have nothing to hide and could careless about a Polygraph.
Here are a few thats posted around the forums, Devices being used well arc modules are popular with the Grid community, traction control devices where some bodies do not allow them, diffused photo electric sensors, etc. and not just limited to devices but also cars being put back in races, lottery drawings to be put back in later rounds not being drawn in front of everyone, house cars, etc. etc.

Now 16 pages later what we have is an open discussion that brings light to the subject at hand with valid concerns whether true nor false doesn't matter they are valid to their extent. With this the promoters (like the SFG Race) listen to what the chatter is and put things in to help assure safeguards to make the racers feel that they are getting a fair shot. Thats a step in the right direction, like it or not.

I'm not judging it Smoke. I don't go to the races that would need it. But plenty of people don't like the government watching their email even though they are doing nothing wrong. Red light cameras are less than popular for a variety of reasons. Then we have the corona masks and temperature taking. A lot of people are fed up with extra requirements and restrictions.

I get ya Buck and I agree also. Just trying to look at this issue with an open mind and not narrow. The problem I have to grasp with is I have seen nothing stated so far that would keep me from going to a race, not even a polygraph thats used in the same manner in other sports. If those small things are keeping us from enjoying racing then you are a weekend warrior, have something to hide, or are just azz clwn. Just my .02 cents

Been following this one since it started. Still scratching my head as to what illegal trick would actually work on a regular basis due to changing weather and track conditions? Not to mention that there are a bunch of folks that regularly get inside of an .010 package.

If some amazing system is being used, it will be interesting to see what it was?

BTW, wonder what they were looking for inside the chute of Pattons ride?

I'm not thinking people are cheating, but thinking, inside the parachute would be a good place to hide something.

Glad nothing was found. I really don't think there are any cheaters.

I'll be honest, I heard rumors of people cheating 30 years. I don't think it was possible, but I'm not too bright??!

What about inside roll cages, air bottles,headliners,.....
The list could go on and on.
