Obtw Mike Sacramento's gate fee is $20.00. Yup $20.00. Mike don't be so defensive. Ask Bakersfield's promoter if they can at least give us a prorated purse based on car counts, ie: 10 cars equals $700 to win. 20 cars $1,000 to win, etc. That would help racers make a decision. If the winners share is not at least 10 times the entry it's not worth the trip. Just trying to help.

I wonder what amount of local palm greasing has to happen just to throw the gate open without suffering the wrath of the tree huggers out there in Kommiepornia?

Pretty sure it's an all volunteer deal to pay or not? If you're bracket racing for the money, you're doing it wrong.

Must be they need the team races to host the double divisional. Because at those entry rates pretty clear they dont care who shows up. Last year they had 15 cars total compete in S/Pro for points. But not 15 at any race. At least what the points say.

Mike, I would if no conflicts. Regardless they should give us a breakdown of the purse. Don't you think Mike. I do know Sacramento Summit races guarantee $1,400 to win. I'm not positive but I believe Somona is $1,200 to win. And I would rather not travel all the way up there at $5.03 a gallon for diesel. Ok all you east coast folks...Rub it in!

Larry, You and I do the math the same way. It doesn't matter if you are alone in a half ton truck with a open trailer or drive in with a toterhome with 4 others towing a big azz trailer or a drive through the gate with a sportsman car, it still costs you $300 to race.
If Mike is right and that fee is for the weekend and covers two days of racing, then it's $150 a day and at 10X, the payout to the winner should be $1,500 each day. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Joe Burkleo,

Wonder what associations are running that weekend? I guess I could just bring both index and et setups with me. I would hate to miss ANY race this close to me....
Thanks for the heads up Mike..
