Insert "she" for "he".
TransLady knew........
Took my information from your post Bob. Since you never mentioned what sex the person was and since most public officials are male I figured that this one was... Next time please state the sex of the individual in question and I'll get it right..

Dave
A returning veteran who lost both legs who has not been a politician her wh ole life was a good call.
You far righties flame Reid all the time but I think he made a good call in his support of her.
We need veterans of
current conflicts as elected officials, male or female.
Dave, Duckworth is a female.
So Bob, in your opinion I would make a good elected official since I was active during this conflict.
I have 30 years leadership experiance and an officer, I also managed a multi-million dollar class IX account??
After all I did get my last unit trained and loaded for Iraq, I was mandatory retired which prevented me from going to the sandbox for round two..
Hell I even bad mouthed my president back in the mid 90's, and like Duckworth I still continued to serve..
Do I get your vote?

Dave

<Jeremy J.>For months everybody was praising John McCain for being a war vet and his qualifications for being a president; anybody who said otherwise was un-American. NOW, you're implying that not all vets are worthy of being president? Aren't you dizzy from all that spinning?

I'm not going to search through the archives to find who said what. But you and I both know it was an issue because we (those in the political section) discussed it a few times.

A hallmark of this election cycle... so many people arguing about the oh-so-important things while the house crumbles around them. Too many people arguing for the sake of arguing. It's hard to believe that there are so many people that are diametrically opposed on every issue.

Bill KoskiThere's some question of whether this should be under media bias or todays democrats?
The reason is the mayor of Racine, Wi, used the internet to entice a 14 year old girl to meet him for some diddling, sadly for him it was the police waiting for him not a young girl!
NOWHERE in the article did it mention if he was a Republican or a socialist donkey!
I'm ready to give odds that this belongs here because he indeed is a socialist donkey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bob HTodays Democrats........
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Congressional Democrats flexed their new political muscle Wednesday as the House of Representatives passed legislation expanding the State Children's Health Insurance Program by more than $32 billion over five years.
The House passed the SCHIP bill on Wednesday, and the Senate will take it up next week.
The SCHIP bill, which will be taken up by the Senate next week, passed by a vote of 289-139. House Democrats provided almost unanimous support; a strong majority of House Republicans were opposed.
"In this moment of crisis, ensuring that every child in America has access to affordable health care is not just good economic policy, but a moral obligation we hold as parents and citizens," President-elect Barack Obama said in a statement released after the vote.
"I hope that the Senate acts with the same sense of urgency so that it can be one of the first measures I sign into law," he said.
SCHIP covers more than 6 million children whose parents earn too much to qualify for Medicaid -- the federal health insurance program for the poor -- but who can't afford private insurance.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
And to think dumbya vetoed the help earlier.
na.na.na.na....heyyyyyyyy goodbye............
