Caterpillar, the world's largest maker of mining and construction equipment, has seen its sales wither as the sluggish world economy and credit crisis weaken demand for its products, used to build everything from houses to highways. The company had expanded dramatically in recent years, helped by a building boom in developing countries.

President Barack Obama might have rolled a gutter ball on NBC's "The Tonight Show."

Toward the end of the interview on Thursday, Obama told host Jay Leno he's been practicing at the White House's bowling alley but wasn't happy with his score of 129.

Leno complimented Obama on the score, but the president quipped, "It was like the Special Olympics or something," which prompted laughter from the audience.

The Special Olympics comment was an extremely low blow!

I understand that everyone makes comments in life that they wish they could take back, but this just showed lack of class and style. The mentally challenged people in this country should never be the butt of a joke. It is something that they had no control over and should not be ridiculed for it. If you want to poke fun at someone at least make it a worthy opponent that is capable of engaging in the topic.

What showed lack of class and style, and worst yet a lack of respect to our biggest ally in history, was Obama's removal of the Winston Churchill bust from the Oval Office.

Not only did he have it removed, he actually sent it to the British Embassey.

The bust had been a prominent fixture in the Oval Office for decades. Talk about a slap in the face.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger told reporters Friday afternoon that President Obama meant no harm by the comment he made about the Special Olympics during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

"I know, because of conversations I've had with the president about Special Olympics ... I know where his heart is at," Schwarzenegger said. "He loves Special Olympics, he would do anything he can to help Special Olympics."

Schwarzenegger chalked up Obama's gaffe to a simple "oops" moment.

"Every one of us sometimes makes a mistake," Schwarzenegger said. "Sometimes something comes out of your mouth and you say 'Oops, I wish I wouldn't have said that.' I've had many of those."
