There is no debating history! The basis for history is facts, not opinion. You either chose to believe in the facts or you chose to be an ignorant tool. The problem with the history that is taught in school is that it is filtered through the liberal mindset and taught from that perspective. Beck provides hard facts and demands that his audience do their own research to verify what he's dug up. The leftists are able to debate history because according to them past history is ever evolving, there aren't any hard true FACTS! That's why the history books now rarely mention the founding fathers but have extensive blathering about mlk and some of the newest ones even have a chapter about "imam 0-bomb"!
This is the reason the lefties are in a dither about the CONSERVATIVES having control of the latest versions being produced in Texas, whose text is adopted by many states, that are going back to REAL history not the version propagated by the lefties over the years!

The history of the United States is rewritten regularly by one side or the other.

Example is the common belief that the framers of the Constitution believed that all men were created equal. Though they wrote this, most of them did not believe it.

History has to be understood for what it is, and yes, some research will help in the understanding. If everyone saw everything the same, why would we have opposing view points?

Just because you have a point of view, why would you believe yours over another person's point of view, or at least think yours is more valid?

The tiems I have listened to Beck he always stresses where his data is coming from, adn also stresses for everyone to go do their own research. Not the left, you know, the ones that just made the statement that almost half of Americans have a preexisting condition and couldn't get health care. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? REALLY? So 15 million Americans (yep, the 20 million illegals don't count) don't have health insurance, over half of those choose not to purchase it, so 8 million people a year ago and now it is 129 million. Man, a lot of people got sick in a single year.
