Destroying the Church of Global Warming
this global warming thing is bad.

in 1956 the county we live in had the worst drought on record, up until that year. the next year, 1957, was the wettest year on record.

in 2006, we experienced another drought that broke the 1956 record. so far this year, 2007, we are on track to break the record for the "wettest" year of 1957.

damn! Razz

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has been monitoring and recording stream flow for more than 100 years at many locations throughout Georgia. The lowest May streamflow on record was recorded for 34 monitoring stations with at least 30 years of record. This was the lowest May streamflow recorded in 115 years for the Oostanaula River at the Resaca gage; 110 years for the Oconee River at the Milledgeville gage, and 98 years for the Flint River at the Albany gage. Streamflow was the lowest recorded for 50 years for any month for the Suwannee River at Fargo. It's no wonder we have 1000 square miles on fire.

This is aledgedly caused because of global warming???????????
For whatever reason the rain is all being dumped a few hundred miles west of georgia.

I don't' know what's causing our drought, driest spring in AL, GA, TN, and MS in 113 years, but if you think it's a temporary glitch and you ever wanted to farm, you could get a deal here. That we have been having a drought since mid '90's does say something has happened other than a glitch, though.

How about the drought in Oklahoma in the 30's, the place was referred to as the dust bowl!
Areas of Texas were suffering from drought not long ago, look at the place now, they should have been building ARKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmmmm, so the weather is more extreme than normal almost everywhere you go? I could have sworn I have told you that in the past on more than one occassion. Ya know Bill, just because it's called global warming, doesn't mean everything turns into a desert.

Bill, it doesn't take a genius, nor does it take a scientist to point out that weather has been more extreme everywhere you go on this planet. Take the US. Look at the severity of hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, droughts...... Do the rest of us see it and you don't? I guess if a liberal points out that weather has been more extreme it must be tainted information just because he's a liberal, right? Well, I tell you what Bill. Just for comparison where I live.... We recently had the worst outbreakof wildfires on record. Lake Okeechobee is at 8.7 feet, the lowest ever on record, this is where we get our water from. The Lake needs 7.5 feet of rain by the end of October to bring it back to normal. We are limited to washing cars wand watering lawns to a certain 2 hours per week. YET, those of us living south of the Lake are completely saturated. It has rained pretty much everyday for a month straight. It has rained no less than 1.5 inches per day wherever I have been for the last 5 days. Don't believe me? Check out the SoFL radar between 5-9 PM. Doesn't matter what day.

It has happened in the past. However, when it did, it was caused by obvious natural factors. For example, variations in the Earth's axial tilt. So Bill, explain to me why the Earth is getting warmer and the weather more extreme while we are actually in the middle of an ice age........
July 03, 2007, 07:35 PM
Bill Koski
Ice age???????????
algore will be shocked!!!!!!!!!!!
The bloom is wearing off of the rose, in the latest survey 60% (sixty percent) of people worldwide now believe the manmade global warming fanatics are overhyping the threat!!!!!
It seems only the socialist, liberal algore sycophants are still standing flatfooted on the bandwagon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
