There is a difference between hope and faith. I don't consider either bad things to have. Both without a dose of reality though can be dangerous. What about the Obama years would give any of us hope about the future? The only thing we could have hoped for from that president would be better race relations, and he forced them the other direction. Greater opportunities for the middle class? Nope. Fewer people needing help from the government to get by? Hoping for it is about all we could do. Let's see how different leadership affects it.

Moochelle's idea of Hope is more set asides, more government assistance, and more racial protection like hate crime legislation.
