Mr. Decort,
I have to clear a few things up. For the most part the track condition has not been a problem this season. As long as its scraped weekly or bi-weekly its been good to go. This comes from several racers.

The story I recieved on the payout deal. This gentlemen was unhappy with his home track and came to QCR, bringing 4 cars with him. This was there second trip out there and was feeling good about the track. He was unable to return because of prior commitments. He asked for the round money he had already won. Not a split of the purse. He was escorted out of the building for that request. Those are 4 cars that will never return.
While splitting the money if a round or two has been run is the common practice, it is not a rule. Matter of fact what are the rules on that occurance? anyone know? have a copy of the rules?

Sponsors,
When one of the largest and I mean top five in the country can get no contact, no return call, no info from the racetrack there is a problem. When a sponsor has money set aside for this track and are not even approached about sponsoring, there is a problem. When sponosrs are asked to send cash instead of a check well... you get the idea. When past sponsors ask to talk face to face with the owner, man to man, and the meeting never takes place ????? These are all things I have seen by you guessed it OBSERVING.

well thank you for your sponsor ship this year mr decort!!but do you really think the fall of qcr is because of the racers???and is at no fault qcr's management??im not smart enough to run the place..but then again something has gone terribly wrong there in the last few years..wouldnt you agree..mr decort. Ann said repeatedly she would not be happy until it was closed. So there is your answer, and why was it so busy when she was not there and she comes back and it falls apart. I recall call a period of time when when they had a schedule for employees for a month in advance, had so many employees that they had time off if need be now they can't keep any! Anns daughter teching cars last night WOW! Everyone knows the reason nobody but a few comment on it. There is a lot things that took place one year most every knows what that was, and I got caught in the middle and boy was I stupid, used as a scape goat because someone was affraid to confront a few people so they had a woman to do the dirty work. That was a good way to get ride off a employee that was doing a great job in her place that treated the customers with dignity and get rid of the racers they were having problems with! I'm stupid

Thanks for being a past sponsor, but I did not know who you were by your name on this forum.
I will do some research to find out.

No need to research....I'm Fred @ M&M.....most everybody on here knows that. I don't hide behind my screen name and own everything I post. Reason for the "name", I am not a paying sponsor on here and don't come for the sole purpose of soliciting business. I come here mostly for the entertainment, some for learning, and a rare event where I might be able to offer something helpful.

I interact with drag racers everyday 24/7/365..... some are bracket racers. Honestly, most of the locals echo Mr Tomasko's sentiments.

I understand you are in a quite unique position, and do business with the owners on a different level. I can understand your frustration.

Good job Andy!
And John that race already had three rounds complete and I have never heard of bracket racers being asked to return in a couple weeks to finish a race.I have heard of splits, lotterys and finishing races next day but never another weekend.

Fred,
I knew you on this board as another name. Sorry I did not catch the change. I have been trying to avoid this forum and lost track of the change. Sorry I included you in my rants!
Spark em up.

qcrobsrvr,
How many of the tracks that you race at have written rules? Are they set in stone?
So let me get this right, this gentlemen wanted treated different than everyone else on that day. Was it to suit his agenda?
I find it amazing that you have such an inside connection with that top five company that they shared that info with you.

For those racing elswhere,
I read that Mr. Prest is already happy with PRP!
I read that qcrobsrvr is happy with D42.

I sure hope all of you get together and pool your resources & management skills and buy the place. I'm sure you can do everythig right everytime. It would be the first track I've been to, and I've been to more tracks than most of you, that did not have issues. The racers that can not afford to travel or don't have the time to travel need somewhere local to race.

I see that I'm too old & foolish to understand how those on this forum think they can run a racetrack which they have no money investested.

Yep Bowtiebooby you made me look like a fool.

SEE YA!

THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT MEMORIES.

Have one racer bid a single amount and no one else bid. Cost will stay low and stay a track. Bid just enough to out bid the others with out racers bidding against each other might get it cheap if there is no reserve!!!!! The bottom line is she hates racers and hates the track. It has been said over and over! crying

All of the tracks that I have raced at have rules posted on their websites and have always provided a copy of the rules in the tower. If I have never been to a track, I go to the tower and ask for a copy. I have a nice collection that stays in my toolbox.

Did that gentleman ask to be treated different? Nope. He said he was not returning for the next round. It should not have mattered if it was finished that night or next year. He was owed the round money for his win and attempted to collect what was owed but was refused.

Pay attention John as I am about to answer green1's question..

Is there a policy for that situation from the Night of Fire... sure is as the others who posted that week pointed out. Read the bottom of the run cards... It is considered a completed event once 1 round of racing is complete. That event was going into 4th round or 3rd round for some of the classes. That was a completed event as per the written policy of the run card issued. Did the racers make the decision to continue the race, no. It was the track management which once again showed that there is no consistency or stability in rules at the track. Might was well write them on the toilet paper in the bathroom.

As for sponsors, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the names missing, those that provided cash and helped provide year end runoff prizes. And do I talk to those sponsors that did not return. Yes I do. Did I ask why they did not return, I sure did. When I asked a couple years ago I was told, if they want to renew, they can call the track.

I know you got to stick up for the place. You have a vested interest in protecting yourself with your shop being there and not crossing the owners either.

Being the fool that I am, I can see it's mostly the same people on this forum and not many other QCR racers and none of this makes any difference.
So I will not waste anymore of your time.
