I saw this on another site and thought I would share. Pretty wild! I would like to see something like this. These events pack the place with spectators.

ChuckTWe're hoping to pay $1000 to win again in the big race... thanks to sponsors, there is already over $400 in the big race purse. Looking forward to a good time, and some great food, thanks to our generous cooks and their donations!

ChuckT1 day away from the 6th Annual Steel City Practice Tree Shootout! Weather is looking a bit cold, but it will be warm inside the fire hall, with great food, great competition, and great friendship! We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, and thanks once again to all of our sponsors and those making food for their generosity!

B BarnettI had a great time at the tree race. Thanks to AJ Chuck and Mark for putting it on. And thanks to everyone that brought food. It was all good. And to Superman savor the flavor cause next time my freight will have kryptonite in it!

HR1140Does anyone happen to have any old pictures of Jim Shuman's old Fast Forward Vega? I am trying to make the lettering for a slot car.

ChuckTScotty and Barry, I don't know why you're yappin' at each other... you both went home winning zero... just like I did, after getting whacked by Rich Penn, Markie, and Jim Young (2x). Thanks again to everyone for coming out... all of you are what makes this event, not AJ, Mark, or me. The food was absolutely awesome! Congrats to Nick Bowman, winning the little race, and runner up Bob Randolph. Big race was paying $1000 to win, $300 runner up, and $100 to semis. The final 4 agreed to $200 to the semis, which went to Brian Cireddu and Matt Obertanec. That left $1100 in the final round pot, which Kevin Romeo and Mark Vasbinder agreed to go $600/$500, with Kevin taking the win. Bob Singer won the SBC Victor Jr intake from Cadamore Racing. Between the intake raffle and 50/50 raffle, we raised $375 for the Thinking of Nikki Foundation. The drag racing family is awesome.

Balaska347So now that we are just a few weeks away from opening day, what's everyone got going on? Anyone ready, close to being ready, or no where near ready? All I have to do is change the oil in the car and set the anti-rollbar. The trailer still needs cleaned and inspected. What's everyone else still need to do?
