Lots of locals did well in Memphis today.

Congrats to my buddy Scotty Campbell... goes there and hops into a car he'd never been in, and makes it to the semis of Quick Rod in the Tournament of Champions.

Kevin Romeo runner upped in the Sportsman Spectacular in Top Dragster. Mia Tedesco made it to the semis in TD on the other side of the ladder.

Patrick Forster, from Pittsburgh, won Hot Rod in the TOC. He runnered up in Quick Rod.

Brent Darroch win Stock! He was runner up last year, and goes .022 and dead on with an 8 to win the TOC in the handshaker Camaro!

Emily Volkman (Michael's wife) runnered up in Super Stock to Michael Beard.

Tip of the cap to Randy Biddle Jr... he has lots of friends at PRP. In the 2nd rd of the SSS No Box, he's .004 on the tree... and mathematically can't win the race, as Shane Kay drops a perfect package on him. Kay ended up winning the SSS No Box.

Awesome day at PRP Saturday, with the gorgeous weather. Turnout was huge... all 8 street lanes were filled, and if slicks and gamblers were run together, I'd bet all the slick lanes would have been filled too. Great turnout in the gamblers race, I'm guessing around 50 cars. Some cool rides out, including the debut of Larry Seranari's '37 Chevy Top Sportsman ride. Steve Roth was behind the wheel, best I saw before I left was a very early shutoff 7.91 at 139.

Yah that was nuts saterday. Just so many cars there and a lot a really nice looking rides. Was really liking the '66 Blueish silver Chevelle.
