Just so long as I can turn my head to avoid the site. And hope that Barry isn't in the other lane... he's threatened to do things to distract opponents that are really not pretty.

Looking to get a feel for some interest on a race at PRP....
No Box (NO Delay Box) 1/4Mile Double Entry Permitted 2-day Event In July
Paying somewhere around 5K a day???
What do you all think?

I will donate the entry fees for that race. IMO, if its a no box race, make it a "footbreak" race.

Did the moderators kill your same thread that was posted in the main section?
I'll ask the same pair of questions that I posted there.
1) What would be the approximate entry fee per race?
2) Would the race be open to all types of race vehicles including bikes?

I 2nd the motion a true footbrake race only no buttons allowed

I would like to see a race like that too. I would rather it be a footbrake only but it doesn't really matter.

No buttons is a great idea.....need to allow air or electric shift though. No dragsters is another good choice. Not that i am afraid of dragsters i just think that they dont belong in a footbrake race.

i definately like the idea. i also feel we should make it a a 13.99 and quicker race. but thats not really that big of a deal.

To answer your questions. 1. 150 - 200 for the weekend. 2. Full bodied cars and left hand steer roadsters. (Not sure on bikes it will be a track decision.)

Do we think all Footbrake would bring in enough entries? I know personally I am a footbraker and that would be my vote but most of the cars in Modified at PRP and other surrounding tracks run t-brakes. I do not want to eliminate them from show.
Air and Electric Shifters permitted.

Matt possible entry listed above.
I would like to make it 0 - 15.99 this way some of our street cars and others who drive their cars to the track can attend. (This doesnt apply to Balaska as he has an 11.0 street car )
Now I have some questions for you guys:
1. Will Footbrake work in this area? 2. Are bikes a good idea to add in to the show? 3. Would you enter the race if dragsters were allowed? 4. If we have 0-15.99 et brak will this detur your entry?
Thanks for the input keep it coming. Also talk with your fellow racers and post their opinions too. The more feedback there is the better the race will be.
Also do not forget about the practice tree race. Feb 21st.

1. It would certainly limit the number of entries you would receive. As someone else said, most Mod cars run a button.
2./3. I think you should either include both or exclude both.
4. No, this ET break is fine.
Please consider allowing single day entries as your proposed Sunday part of the weekend (July 11) conflicts with a Dragway 42 points race.

There will be a single day entry for the event as well.

AJ. For 5 grand a day, I'm in. I don't really car what the rules are. How bout free food included in the entry money??........What? It was worth a try.

AJ...
It looks like your proposed "Latrobe entries pay double the regular entry fee" rule is a go!

Glad to see the feedback too, keep it rolling in.
I agree, keep it open to at least 15.99 for the Street/Trophy cars that may want in, and if someone wants to enter their tow vehicle.
One round of buybacks, high dollar dollar shootout, second chance race... thoughts on that?

Bob, I had the same thought as well about food. Get Miller working on a sponsor to pay for it!
