I haven't seen it posted anywhere official.
So is it going to be 6.10 next year? And is this why I have seen a bunch of top 10 qualifier cars showing up for sale?

To the best of my knowledge there has not been anything officially posted by the NHRA about the index change. But when I asked a D4 official I was told its a done deal and an announcement will be made at some point.

I read it in National Dragster, From the Directors Chair, I am looking for the article... A division director did say 6.10 for 2019.

I'm out.
PDRA is where I'm heading since they took my class away.

Frank, PDRA follows NHRA T/D rules. Looks like the minimum dial will be 3.70 then......but a 3.70 is way quicker than a 6.10 on the long track.

There are only a few cars that are capable of a sub 3.70 run that run PDRA anyways

BTW, come on over, you'll love the PDRA!

Yeah, I can't wait.
My wife is MORE excited than I am.
Since NHRA did this it just made our decision for us.

She already told me to order the rear gear and new converter.
The 3.70 thing doesn't bother me, at least that is still fast.
As you know having a 6.00 car doesn't mean I have a 3.70 car, far from it, they are different animals.

Can't wait to come join you guys.
Mike G. has been after me all year.

Has PDRA Mentioned anything about following suit with the 3.70? It won't matter for me either way, but it would surprise me if they did.

They follow NHRA safety rules, but not all of their rules...

NHRA License and Chassis cert is still good to 3.66 in the 1/8th so there is really no reason for them to switch to 3.70
