Best place to record trans pressure
Hello,
We are adding a channel to the Racepak to record transmission fluid pressure. Is the best place to record the pressure from the servo port, or should it be on the cooler line in or out? Or would it be best to see it in 2 places?

Both would be converter and transmission line pressure. I prefer a guage I can see for trans line pressure to avoid failure, the same as an engine oil pressure guage.

We do have both on the racepack on our DXP Street radial tire car.

And a trans line pressure guage that can be seen.

If you wanna see the specifics of trans pressure through data (run), then you include it in the racepak.

Reading converter pressure is beneficial for making adjustments -out cooler line.

Where do you plumb for converter pressure?

Converter charge pressure from cooler line.

Main valve body pressure from the servo cover.

TB release from reverse port.

Out cooler line is the closest spot externally to monitor converter pressure, however if you had a mismatched input shaft - stator or poor design in play, I'd imagine you could possibly have a higher converter pressure than you'd be able to detect at the out cooler. So technically speaking, one could say the out cooler isn't converter pressure. With properly matched parts, sized orifices on both sides of the converter, it is the closest spot to adequately monitor converter pressure externally.
