I used the two part epoxy paint from Lowes on mine. It was Valspar brand. I think they have relabeled it as Rustoleum brand. Same stuff. I put mine on 6 years ago when my trailer was brand new. It's held up very well. I've spilled just about everything on it. Alky, gas, brake fluid etc. and it won't come off. A few skinned places here and there, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. No issue with smell or fumes for me. I used 2 kits (2 gallons) for my 28' floor + the ramp door.

Did any of you prime the floor with anything before painting it with this?

I used the pricey normal garage floor paint @ home depot and it didnt hold up at all. I was affraid to put the epoxy on the floor for 2 reasons, 1 its hard and the trailer floor flexes so it has to crack when it moves ? Its not designed to flex. 2... my inlaws used it the garage floor and when the tires get hot in the summer they pulled the epoxy right off the floor ... think what it'd do with a slick ?? I didn't prime it. But, then again my trailer floor was brand new. No oil stains, etc. No issues with cracking or peeling. My slicks have never pulled it up. The only permanent stain on mine is where I topped the cell off with alky. I overfilled it and alky got all over the rubber air bladder under the car. It left a stain from the bladder.

Looks awesome, hides stains or leaks, easy to put down and take up and you can change it out about every 3-5 years and trailer looks new. if you are painting the walls then I would use a coat of KILTZ and then paint with an indoor outdoor paint, the rustoleaom brand works great.
Bozman, do you have any pictures of what your floor looks like?

I used this stuff, http://www.samsclub.com/shoppi...ctor+-+10%27+x+22%27got if from Sam's club. Took two rolls to do my 40ft goosneck. Just laid it out in the sun for a day to relax the roll out of it, took up the edge trim, put the floor down and put the edge trim back in. Put some diamond plate down were the tires go, put my d rings through it. Had it for 4 years and it's held up great. I put the little "ribs" in line with the back door and I just push broom it out, oil and alcohol just wipes up. When I picked it up it was actuall on sale for 40% off, I've seen it advertised a few times discounted like that. Nemo Duty-Pride-Tradition FTM/PTB

Call these guys and use there epoxy paint and the commercial grade clear. I did my old trailer in charcoal with the marble chips and commercial clear. It looked amazing and never lifted. http://www.originalcolorchips.com/Tony Legend's Racing

Bozman, I like that! NEMO963, I like yours as well, problem is thats probably is out of my price range. I like what I'm seeing here guys so keep showing me what you've done that way I can make a good decision.

I had the deck paint with the "sand" stuff in it on our last trailer (also used killz and white paint on the walls) it held up well for 8 years with occasional touch ups. I wish I had used diamond plate were the tires went as that was the only place that really rubbed through. It did stain with oil and such but not too bad. Here is after a couple years Here is after about 8 years, we never did repain or touch up....just got lazy (like I said diamond plate under the tires would help also). As far as cheap alternative it seemed to work good. The only thing I will say is dont add your "sand" stuff till the last top coat. Also the texture of the sand made it hard to sweep out with a broom, it would hold the dirt. Had to use a shop-vac. Nemo Duty-Pride-Tradition FTM/PTB

I went to Home Depot and asked the paint guy there what I should use, when I did mine... He recomended a Extirior patio and deck paint that was epoxy based. Did the floor in grey and the walls in white, did prime the walls not the floor. Two cotes on the floor of the 30' trailer was about 1 1/2 gallons left some for touch ups.... Three years later still holding up great, no heavy black marks.... and is real easy to clean up stuff like trans fluid after you scatter one and have to tow it back home to replace.... My trailer was also new never had anything in it prior to painting... If I had to do it over again I think I would carpet the front area and paint the rest.
