Putting a set of Titanium valves in a set of heads and like some information from anyone with first hand experience. Seems like some have a long wait time and I need them fairly quickly. Need intake and exhaust SBC.

What brands are good?

Any brand to stay away from?

Thanks in advance.

I will be running lash caps, titanium retainers and good springs. Just not sure what brand Titanium valves to run and part of my decision may come down to availability.

I would think Manley, DelWest or Ferrea would have virtually any combination of SBC valve you could ever need.
The crazy expensive guys will usually knock out a set fairly quickly if you whine a little. lol

I'm running Victory. Pretty pleased with their service but that was before the acquisition.

Add Victory to the group of companies that Race Winning Brands has just acquired. Hopefully nothing changes there with the new ownership.

What are the seats in the heads?? Don't use steel/iron seats on the intakes also or you will kill the valve seat on the valves. Exhausts seam to be ok though.

Curly,
Joe used Racing Engine Valves out of Florida, 561-650-0090. For his B1 valves.

Crower shaft rockers (My first choice) had the shortest lead time. Those are supposed to be here next Wed.

One of the reasons we choose the Manley Titanium valves was because we found some in stock. And I have always had good results with Manley valves in the past.

I do not remember what brand Titanium are in my other 2 sets of heads.

May have this motor together and ready to dyno in 30 days. Hard to get much done right now while trying to build a house.
