Enclosed trailer tongue question
Anyone pulling a v-nose trailer with a motor home with a regular length tongue or do you have to have the extended length?

What do you mean? I think I can almost touch my nose with mine. Do you mean a regular length? Or an extended tongue?

I am. I haven’t had any issues with mine, but on some MH/trailer combos the corner of the MH will hit the corner of the trailer when backing up at a sharp angle. Richie might be along to tell us how he busted s marker light backing out of his spot at the bracket finals at Numidia 2 years ago.

My trailer has the std. length tongue and I've towed it with a GMC pickup with a Lance Camper on the truck and a Class C MH and have never hit anything.

I Have made some real sharp turnarounds with both.

Close but never hit....

Backing up is when you could hit if you go to tight or "over the pin" as one ex co-worker used to call it....

I have been doing it for 11 years with a problem, standard length.

My last trailer had a standard tongue and I towed it with a 35' Class A. No issues, but I did have to pay attention as the trailer box would hit the motorhome body if you did let it jackknife enough while backing up - if you keep a close eye on it you should be fine.
