Chevy ii has been on pause the last 2 months as the 56 gets some needed updates

Was originally an A-arm front car with some square frame rails. It’s all round tubing now and has a strut front end. Went with strange double adjustable

Chassis inspector said it wouldn’t go back to 7.50 and would be 8.50 so all necessary upgrades have been done to certify to 7.50 and get the chassis up to date (mild steel)

Re-wiring the car currently with K&R harness

New tin and transmission tunnel

New seat

Building a new set of stainless headers for the car

New gauges in the car

Drive shaft tunnel put in car as well

All aluminum PAR 598 SR20 hipped aluminum block and 937 lifters.
No clue what this car is gonna weigh, but I’m guessing 2800 with driver. It will even have steel bumpers. So hoping to see it run some 530s to 540s in the 1/8th

Sid Neil Transmission. I don’t know how many of you have priced a power glide case lately, but stuff has gotten insane. Probably could have built this transmission for 1,500 less just 2 years ago

Here’s the cost of some random parts 2 years ago and what they are now

paid 760 for wheel tubs, they are 975 now

paid 475 for the drive shaft enclosure, it’s 625 now

525 for the steering column it’s 795 now

Blank motor plate was 100, now 150

Chassis kit was 2800, it’s 3250 now

I see the heads aren't Scott's Elite 20s, was this a rebuild? How much HP? Good decision going to .937 lifters. How about steel rockers?

So these are the “elite 20 heads” this is just before scott came up with the idea of stamping them as such. Scott was making the “elite 20” for a while and engraving PAR racing on the heads

“New to us” motor and fresh. It was originally built for Wesley Washington and then it was Jonathan Anderson’s super comp motor

T&D steel rockers
