Thousands of fires. Not only Trailers/RV's, but in boats also. Millions in damage. Look up the litigation that was tossed out by the court at one time.

163k in coverage cost me 1730.00 with a 4% deductable . coverage follows car where ever it is located even if in someone elses trailer. roller value plus engine plus trans value for a total stated value . trailer coverage also is stated with a value for tools and equipment and golf cart if desired. on track coverage gets to be a bit dicey especially for quicker cars .

I've been checking around the past month or so. Hagerty also offers off track coverage - on the surface their premium is a little cheaper. Still have to look at the full details and do an apple to apple comparison with Laris.

I have used Chris Norris with Triple C for the past 5 years or so. Prices for off track are pretty much inline with Laris but there is no deductible. There is also no coverage in the staging lanes, not an issue for me with Top Dragster but may be for a bracket racer being packed in tight and some bozo testing their trans brake.
I have $120K agreed upon value coverage for car, trailer and contents of trailer. $1200 a year.
Give Chris a call

Percentage deductibles are specific to windstorm, named storm, and hurricane-related claims and are calculated based on the percentage.Usually 1-10%

I would never do a percentage policy. Also read closely on depreciation clauses in all policy's.
No matter who the underwriter is. More and more companies are going to percentage vs fixed deductibles. You pay more, they make more.

After reading a long thread about motorhome/toter fridge fires last year, I pulled the trigger on a residential and inverter. There is a couple options, but that seemed best for me. Seeing how my whole operation is in the same barn, the fridge thing scares me greatly.

Smart move there. Yank the ** out of there. Can you imagine the 10's of thousands out there that have no idea. I have a 34 Ft Gulf Steam Seahawk 5er. I pulled that thing out in 2000. Just went to a smaller combo conventional unit. The 44' for the car. i just use the small portable 120. All i need. Like i told her, TS it doesn't go with the decor. She knows how i feel. I was in one bad fire some years ago when a hydraulic line exploded and up went the semi trailer. I was underneath it at the rear right next to it. Thank God it was on a shift change. 4 workers coming in saw the hydraulic explosion/fire and pulled me out from underneath. I owe my life to them. The trailer was loaded with BBC potato chips. No Joke. FD thought they had it out. Oil in the chips.they were worried about a flashover opening the back swing doors..

I have been using Bill Horton. If you don't mind sharing, why did you switch to Laris?

I used Chris Norris / Triple C for about 3 yrs, then was hit with an increase that I felt was just a bit too much at one time. I shopped around , and now I am with Hagerty. $100/ per $1k is going rate.

I have 100k thru Chris Norris which is a hagerty policy and is 763.00 a year . I would really like to know and understand what the mice type says about all the carriers . I did understand from laris that coverage follows the car no matter where it is at except for on track .
