I have a gift card to use from K&N,so I was thinking about buying this.

Just wondering if anyone on here has one and any advantage at all or problems associated with it?
Supposed to pick up 10 horsepower, pick up gas mileage, and make the truck sound "cool".

I'm not a fan. When I worked at a GM dealer I saw a bunch of various model vehicles with Mass Air Flow codes/problems caused by aftermarket air intakes. (maybe not K&N, though.) I'm not a fan of the sound either, but that's subjective. If I had a K&N certificate I'd get a bunch of oil filters. I'm not a K&N hater. I had a K&N air filter on my race car. I'm just not a fan of brand new vehicles with check engine lights on that make a bunch of noise.

I used to be a people person, but people ruined that.

Just remember. The only way to get more flow is to filter less.

I had nothing but problems with a K&N in my Ram. I put a replacement from Napa and cured the CEL issue. That being said I use their air and oil filters exclusively in my race cars.

Only true IF you are stuck with the same filtering surface area.

Don't throw logic into my conversation. LOL Yes you are right. I guess I assumed the filter would be very similar to the OEM.
