Well my 10 + year old battery charger decide to die on me last night. I was wondering what people are using that work good and last. I see a lot of people with these new style battery chargers that don't last long and my opinion they don't charge a battery very good either.

Just looking for a 12 volt charger for agm batteries. Just for charging race car batteries. Thanks in advance for all replies.

Battery charges are like small air compressors, they are all made in china.

Pick you poison and hope for the best but know that schumacher builds most everyone marketed under his name and numerous others.

This is what I use for the race car, trailer, and around the house. Not cheap, but it seemed to resolve some issues I was having with weak batteries in the race car. It has also "revived" two batteries that would take a charge but not hold it.

Every Schumacher charger I have owned has been junk and found their way to the trash. I have 1 associated on wheels and 2 with carrying handles and they have been very good. They get used a lot

I found these when my Walmart special Schumacher conked out. Haven't bought one yet, so I can't attest to their functionality, but they're USA made.

Been using the Autometer maintainer and so far it has been great. Works fine on both 12 and 16 volts.

I have a NOCO Genius 7200 (7.2 amp). Works well and has a desulfator to recover dead batteries.

They do make higher amperage chargers but Optima recommends not charging their batteries at more than 10 amps.

This is the one I use at the track. The handy part is the wheels, It will follow you all the way to the staging lanes if you forget it! I can verify that. Mine came from a Sears store back when they had Sears stores, but it is a Schumacher.

Same unit I used for 6 or 7 years (maybe longer?) before going to 16v. For the last 3 years the fan sounds like he!!. Now it's used to run the dyno battery. LOL
